I have the urge to eat. I wanted sundrops. I had baby carrot sticks instead. Still want the sundrops : (

I have done such a good job staying on plan today that I really don't want to blow it now. I know if that I start eating the sundrops, I won't be able to stop.

So, I just moved myself out of the kitchen area (my desk is in there which is a dangerous thing some days) and am sitting on my exercise ball with the laptop.

My mom is due here for dinner within the hour and we'll be eating at 7.

I think that part of the problem is that I do better when I eat dinner early (like 5/5:30) so I have a tendancy to want to eat around this time and it's hard to wait!

Alright. I CAN do this. It's less than 2 hours until dinner. I just had those carrot sticks and that should tied me over.

Thanks for listening. I really don't want a repeat of yesterday.

oooh, I love sundrops! And you know, Bee, something that REALLY helps me during that time when it's my body's dinner time, but the family won't be eating for a while is to drink something warm....tea with a little soy-almond milk, or veggie broth. Sometimes I'll add a tablespoon of miso to a cup of hot water and drink that....it is a bit more substantial because of the little protein and fat boost.

For some reason, the veggies don't really do it for me when I'm HUNGRY....but I do munch on them while I'm making dinner to keep from eating all of the other stuff. I like the crunch....dinner prep time is my crunchy food time of day Smiler

Blessings,

Lori

I totally made it through the day with basically sticking to plan : )
I had 5 baby carrots, 1 T of hummus and 2 small flax crackers when I got super hungry. I'm really pleased that I made solid, healthy choices instead of sundrops or ice cream! YEAH!

Plus the family visit went much better than expected so that was a great surprise.

Tomorrow should be MUCH easier as it's my early dinner night because of band rehearsal. I am meeting my mom out for lunch tomorrow but I'm going to get sushi so it won't be a problem calorie wise.

I keep meaning to ask...what are sundrops?

They are basically M and M's- better for you without hydrogenated oils, but chocoalatey and full of calories. Danger zone for me. I can't buy them "for Sophia" as I find myself in them too often.

They are the equivalent of all natural M&Ms.

I decide that I was truly hungry so I had some zucchini and 2 small flax crackers. That totally did the trick and I'm feeling much better.

Earlier dinner times work best for me too. Luckily we generally work out 5ish dinner as dh finishes work before 5.
Hang in. Keep posting if need be.
Keep your goal in mind.
Put on some skinny clothes or some lip stick or take a shower or do your nails. Anything that works.

Roasted cornish game hen, potatoes and zucchini.

Comfort food for me but at least healthy ; )
