I bought more convinience foods this time around with WW, as I think one of my problems is I am busy busy, and to take the time to cook was a bit of an issue. However, I would love to get some ideas of foods that you can pre-make and that would freeze and re-heat well. I know some foods are a no-no and some are ok.

I haven't done frozen fish filets... but frozen shrimp works just fine.

You can half defrost a chicken breast on "defrost" in the microwave and slice it up in a mostly frozen state. Smiler It is actually easier to slice half frozen.

Frittattas can take about 15 min. total, especially if you have leftover veggies.

I freeze individual portions of soup, stews, meats, lasagna, leftover stirfries, etc. Just about anything can be frozen, one of the few I don't like frozen is pasta (lasagna is the exception).

Often I will make a huge batch of something in the crock pot, and freeze the remainders in individual portions. Friday I made crock pot cabbage rolls. I made enough that my batch came out to 7 individual portions, 4 of which are frozen for nights that I don't want to cook. Throw together a salad while it's cooking (usually 3-4 min. at most) and voila...dinner is done.

Frozen burritos... I made a bunch of KD's "school night burritos" and froze them.

I also find if very convenient to have ½ cup servings of brown rice frozen. It defrosts in 1.5 mins in the microwave.

Some frozen food can actually take some time… I think that a lot of stews, chilies, or soups take 20 mins to defrost. I actually find it faster and easier to just have 5-10 really simple, easy, fast dinners and a bunch of bags of froz vegs in the freezer and a bunch of carrot and veg sticks in the fridge.

I can make all of the below in 5-15 mins.

1.homemade egg McMuffin and fruit
2.spegetti and jar sauce and salad from a bag
3.fish baked in the oven for 15 mins and a microwave baked potato and some kind of veg.
4. sandwich and soup from a can
5. beans, salsa, ff sour cream on a couple of corn tortillas
6. Veggie omelet and toast.
7. Chicken breast stir fry (from froz vegs) with defrosted rice
