Were moving our company from one house into our home in the next few weeks..I like working from someone elses home, because you still get up and have you regular daily routine..What I am afraid of is over eating and not getting out. Don't getting me wrong this is for the better..I am very excited.
I am going to make sure that I don't have any trigger foods in the house and stick to only proper portion meals.
Does anyone else work from there home..And how do you handle it...
Heather..

I think Cathy gave you some sound advice. You still need to a work space that is going to be "separated" physically and mentally. It takes a lot of discipline to do that, especially when you see two or three quick things that you could do "and just take a second".
Foodwise, I love working at home. Discipline wise, well, I'm not as good at it. I've always done much better keeping my work environment totally away from my house. Or, I go to the other extreme and don't stop to take breaks, etc. I just go straight through and burn myself out. (I seem to like to live on one extreme or the other. I'm still working on that, though.)
Good luck. Laura
Life is like a roller coaster, with lots of ups and downs, but the curves, spirals, loops and corkscrews are what make life interesting.
I used to work from home, and the ONLY way I found it to work was to make a point to be out of my house and to a coffee place by 8:30. I had coffee, and then went to the "office". The rest of the house was off limits until my working day was complete. I didn't make dinner on coffee breaks, I didn't clean up things I saw as I walked around. I worked. At 5:00, I got in my car, or walked around the block and then went "home". I shut my work place door and didn't go in at night, no matter what. AS far as food was concerned. I packed a lunch like I did when I was working away from home. Kitchen was off limits, I put a coffee pot, etc in my office area, and that was that. The only other room that we used was my bathroom...and that had to be with all the coffee and tea we were drinking.....
Good luck, it can work, but you have to make it work. Cathy J

The great thing about being at home is that YOU control the the food, the timing, the whole enviornment. If you are willing to plan, I think this will be much easier for you.
I work from home, too. And like D said, the food got better, and I can start meals any time I want to.
I find that I have to keep tempting foods out of the house, here in small quantities, or morked with notes reminding me that they are for other family members.
Another bonus of working from home--flexible hours and no commute can make it easier to find time to exercise. And if you want to do a few pushups at your desk, there's no one to gawk at it.

I'm a stay at home mom (and now starting to get my wellness business going) and I have to say that after years of working in an office, it's SO much easier to eat healthier at home.
No one brings left over cookies, chocolates, etc... The only food in the house is healthy stuff brought in be me.
I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by how much easier it should be being at home vs working elsewhere.
Out of our beliefs are born deeds; out of our deeds we form habits; out of our habits grows our character; and on our character we build our destiny.
I worked from home, and loved it. The quality of food increased. . .I could start dinner at 10AM if it needed to simmer that long! I did my shopping when the store wasn't crowded so that I didn't feel rushed and make bad decisions.
What finally *worked* was packing my lunch the night before the same way I packed the boyfriend's. There was a midmorning snack, lunch, midafternoon snack, etc.
And keeping the trigger foods OUT was key for me.
Congratulations!
