Haven't checked the weather station for the whole country, but understand we are to get rain in the midwest, hot and humid in the east, and nice and "normal" in the west. So put those walkin' shoes on, plug in the headset if you use one, or get those suits on for swimming, and lets get with it. For those of you who are new to the board, we are walking America every week. Count the # of miles you've walked, ran, swam, jumped, sky-dived, skipped, etc and then Saturday or Sunday come back here and report. I will post our total miles and see where in the US we land. Right now, I think we are still in Nevada....or Arizona, without checking the post from last week, I am not sure...but we are close to Calf. Join us, the more the merrier.

WE have 88 miles charted this week. Hmmm, are we loosing interest or just too busy to exercise? At any rate, those who did progress farther across America can arrive at Flagstaff, AZ. At this rate, we are slowing down for the desert...don't forget to bring your water for this next week!

I've recorded what we have todate and it doesn't look like many of us are getting out to move. Are we a little down about moving and getting that exercise? I know it has been harder since the kids have been home from school to get to the pool. I have given up several AM's cause it's just too much. But let's remember that calories and fat diminish with the movement of our bodies. Health is a matter of putting both eating healthy and movement together.
I am not going to add these miles in until tomorrow. I challenge those of you who haven't moved yet this week, to use today, every 1/2 miles counts. I challenge those of you have havent' reported to do so now....we are at less than 100 miles...not good for a site that has so many wonderfully fit members.

Later, friends.

22 miles for me this week.

Would be more if I would have remembered to wear my pedometer during the 1-hour aerobics class I took this morning. Drat!

I started using the stair stepper this week. It says distance climbed was equal to 750 feet so I suppose I could count that too if I wanted to bother looking up how to convert 750 feet to a miniscule fraction of a mile. LOL

Does anyone else count mileage from a stair stepper?

I have 20.5 miles walked in the past week.

P.S. I also got back to my upper body weight trainning 3 times this past week - about 15-20 minutes each day. I feel a difference already.
