Water: yes
Garden: yes
Gym: No

We leave Thursday early for the boyfriend's graduation, and get back late Sunday, so I know I'm not going to get 5x garden work in. I am going to shoot for the gym 3x, though, by going tomorrow and taking workout things with me and using the hotel gym facility at least once.

Challenge Goals:
*10 minutes of unplanned exercise five times a week
*Gym time twice a week
*Socialize at least once every two weeks.

Met my challenge goals today but probably over did it some with the sushi.

Addendum: I had two butter cookies with nutella after dinner : ( So much for no sweets during the week.

I can't let myself get that over hungry!

Didn't make it to the gym on Sunday - family in town. But I did go yesterday and now either have to go today or tomorrow. I'll try for today. I always seem to be able to make it on Friday, so that will be 3 this week. I may even shoot for four.

I am struggling with staying at 1300 calories (1452 yesterday), but I am logging, so that will help me work on my choices.

The snooze - I knew that was going to be a tough one. I'm taking it in baby steps. I normally hit the snooze 3 or 4 times. I'm doing only 2 times this week, next will will be only one time.

Mel

OH, and on a side note, we have two kitties who normally sleep near my feet. I woke up at 3am and one was on my head - literally, her head was resting on my head and the other was laying across my hip. I guess they wanted togetherness! DH has started working nights, so maybe they adjusting - I know I am! No wonder I'm tired when I wake up.

I'm really disappointed with myself that I didn't exercise yesterday on my day off. I nearly ALWAYS exercise on Mondays and I intended to, it just never happened. I was feeling bad when I first got up so I didn't exercise right away as I usually would, and then the day just got away from me.

Now it's going to be much harder to get in my 3X workouts this week.

Personal Healthy Habits Challenge - 10/1 to 12/31/08:
1. Exercise: Get back to consistently working out 3-5 X week.
2. Food: Get back to consistently preparing healthy lunches for the week with increased veg servings.
3. Behavior: Reduce intake of sweets.

Tuesday, week 2

No more cereal after 8:00 pm, no more eating after 8:00 pm, it doesn't do me any good nor my blood sugars.

I am off to have an A1C done, which I know will not be good or as good as the last one, too much stress, too much cortizone, and maybe one too many ice cream cones in the last month. Two baby cones is too many. Also cholesterol done, and some other things the doc thinks are highly important. ICK!

Then home to clean up a little, post my note on the door and wait in the car at the park with the dogs while a realtor shows our house. This stinks....I just hope it doesn't get too hot, so that we have a sick dog...we have one that gets heat stroke easily.

Take my water and theirs, maybe some cut up fruit and carrots, we can have a picnic!

Today I had group class which for me was a total waste of time, no concentration, too much to think about that had nothing to do with class.

After that, I went to run some errands and found myself at culver's. I took a small burger and a salad, diet drink, and thought about the choices I could have made. I just needed to have time to think and not to think. Used up some extra points did some extra weights to make up for my meal....but I do have to get a grip.

Plans for this week are to make up some salad fixings and have them ready to just pour and eat. Nothing to extravagant, just to put in my mouth. Stress causes some to over eat, stress causes me to not eat at all.

Otherwise, it's goals as stated.

I did some solo FLYing today. It wasn't planned, but I went looking for a software CD case for the serial number and couldn't find it, so I ended up cleaning out my entire CD case and throwing a lot of stuff away and relocating it. Yay!

I struggled today too but didn't do as well as Sandy.

I will be posting in the what's for dinner thread and I did get my dressing on the side and only had 1/4 of what they gave me but I had a glass of wine and a popsicle at dinner tonight.

The only thing I can say on my behalf is that I skipped snack to purposely have that wine and 40 cal popsicle. On the other hand, snack would have definitely been more nutritious.

I struggled not to overeat today. I white knuckeled it through dinner and stuck to my plan.
Hopefully tomorrow will be easier.

Back to the hard part of the week for me M - Th!

In some ways this week will be easier and others harder. I'll basically be a single parent most of this week which can be stressful.

On the other hand, I can eat whenever I want which is helpful for me. I plan on doing lots of salads, staying away from the last glass of wine that's sitting in the fridge and going back to no desserts.

I am taking dd to an ice cream social this week which will be tough for me but it's not my favorite brand of ice cream so I'd rather hold out for the good stuff!

I started my new ones today....and did well. Esp considering that DS (and I) got up at 5:30. arg. that's early for this gal and makes me cranky. I drank a lot more water, did 2 mini-FLYs on the 'backroom' (DS kept wanting to help...not helpful) and have had fruit or veg w/ every meal. (I'm counting the fruit in my sorbet) and even made a GREAT morph of several of KDs recipies. roasted beats and sw potatoes... i meant to add cilantro but forgot. I have planned out several big salad meals this week that will allow for plenty of leftovers.
