Go back to Coastergirl's homework for Friday, June 22.

Take time this weekend to do just that. You deserve it!!!

She talked about a favorite place to just relax and think or do nothing. Well, I will be racing around trying to see enough houses to make a decision on one before the weekend is out.

So for homework, I'd like everyone to do just as she has suggested. Take time to relax and just be. A friend sent me a rubber stamp this week that says, "It is important from time to time to slow down, to go away by yourself and simply be." So that along with Coastergirl's homework, is you assignment, go away and just be.

I went fishing with my family yesterday. Twenty minutes of leisurely biking and then a few hours of watching them fish. We didn't catch much but we had a good time, and I caught the biggest fish of the day with our second last worm Smiler

Amy, I'd say you get full credit. Especially since my "relaxation" biking counts more as exercise than relaxation. Wink

DH took DS to Grandpas house to play video games on this great day..... i did not complain. I sat down and watched "Dave" which is one of my favorite movies. It was VERY VERY VERY hard to do it!!!!!!! I felt guilty for the first 30 minutes. I also did laundry while watching but that doesn't count LOL! Anyway- thanks for the homework. I guess I didn't go away and "just be" but I did relax...do I get partial credit???

I am overdue for a pedicure--should have gone last weekend--so I am definitely going to try to get there this weekend.

Also, I've been spending WAY too much time on the computer, esp. playing The Sims, lately because I have been so stressed at work and it helps me unwind...but I want to make an effort to take some time to read or write or something else this weekend as well.

Personal Healthy Habits Challenge - 10/1 to 12/31/08:

2. Food: Get back to consistently preparing healthy lunches for the week with increased veg servings.
3. Behavior: Reduce intake of sweets.

It isn't exactly this weekend, but I have a massage scheduled for Tuesday evening. With the recent move, I'll be doing more unpacking and organizing of the house this weekend. Especially since I started work this week and haven't been able to do any of it.

FIL is coming tomorrow to clean some of the carpet and our furniture.

I love the things you are going to do! I've never had a real pedicure, only the kind that they give me at the diabetic clinic...no polish, no fuss, just clip and go....I have to do that after we move, just to feel better. And a hair cut, WOW, I know what you mean, it makes me feel human again, instead of all bedecked with hair that doesn't do what I want it to do. Get a magazine and stop for a cool drink afterwards, ladies, what a treat for yourself!

I'm going to find time to get my hair cut. It always makes me feel better for some strange reason. Then take a bike ride.

I'm thinking I might get a pedicure this weekend as a way to relax and also to make my poor toes prettier. Smiler
