Week 2 Goals Report

Goal 1 - Exercise 3X. Done. Wed., Sat. & Sun.

Goal 2 - Eat out only once per week. Done. Thursday.

Goal 3 - Solo FLY 2X. Done. Mon. & Fri.

I met my goals--not to the extent or in the way that I had hoped--but I met them. The only one that I think I did exceptionally on was Goal 2 because I had opportunities and desires to eat out 3-4 times this week and still kept it to once.

I'm doing fine with my goals this weekend since I'm allowed sweets and drinks on the weekends but have gone totally overboard. Yesterday was a TERRIBLE eating day - pizza, cake, wine, popcorn after dinner, etc...and way too much of all of it.

I need to rethink my summer goals.

I did a short solo FLY tonight--did a partial fridge boogie and cleaned out a lot of plastic containers so I can wash them tomorrow.

That's 2 for 2 on the solo FLYs, but I still hope to get one more in tomorrow.

Although i didn't totally meet all my goals I am VERY proud of myself today. Still getting over the flu (somebody call the WWWWHHHAAAAAMMMMULANCE!!!!) and now have a sore throat..but took DS to the park in the car. I so wanted to drive thru BK and get a burger. I am sick of not only my 'diet diet' but also my allegyn free diet. BUT...i went home and made home-made soup. i really felt I needed protein so I even thawed some hamburger. Anyway- there is always more to do but very happy. DH like me new skort I had on today. It always feels good when you get some 'eye' complementsSmiler

Status on my goals for the week thus far:

1. Have done 1 of my 3 workouts--2 to go.

2. Have eaten out once (Thursday) and ate my homemade lunch today instead of going out as usual. That was REALLY hard and I'm really proud of myself for doing that (though I thought about what I would have gotten at Chili's for the first 10 minutes of my lunch hour LOL). In addition, when I was super stressed on Wednesday, I REALLY wanted to go out to eat and have something not-so-healthy. Both coworkers I asked already had plans, and that was enough to turn me back around to eat my homemade healthy lunch vs. going out. So TWO possible times of eating out were deferred. Yay!

3. Have done 1 of 2 solo FLYs--1 to go.

I am very disappointed in myself in regard to sweets this week. I have been to the snack bar between 4 and 5 p.m. all 3 of my workdays so far this week. I had a small candy bar on Tuesday, a pack of 6 Oreo cookies on Wednesday and a pack of 2 shortbread cookies on Thursday. I know that a lot of this is stress. This really is not a habit I can afford to get back into (years ago, a coworker and I went to the snack bar every afternoon). Just posting for accountability and to keep myself aware of how dangerous a habit this can be.

I can so relate this week. I am not usually very bad with the snooze button, at least not on an ongoing basis, but I have been this week. I have been hitting the snooze every day. Today, I think I got away with 1 snooze but some days were 2 or 3 or 4. I can see where it could be a VERY easy habit to get into and a very difficult habit to break free of! Good luck with that!

Logging every day - that's been helping me identify bad choices and also where I'm not watching my portion control.

I have been to the gym 2x so far, I plan on going this evening, so that will be 3

I'm still a slave to the snooze. I have cut back to the 2 times this week, but next week's going to be down to one - that's going to be hard for me. It's a hard habit for me to break.

I have to get fruits and veg in . I haven't been eating, way below points and I know that is why I am gaining. ugh, eat to lose? ate to gain, what's that all about? I know the chemistry of it, but it drives me nuts!

So today, if I don't eat anything else it will be fruits and vegetables, and maybe an anti stress snack!

Sweets have done me in this week and today was no exception : ( Everything else was OK.

I wish I could say that I would avoid sweets for the weekend to compensate but that isn't realistic with dd's birthday and party.

I need to get a better plan for next week.

Did OK today....i was laughing last night- i took some tylanol for my fever and all i could find was DS's grape flavor chewables. I even had fruit w/ my meds LOL. I have not FLYed as planned the last few days but i'll give myself a pass since I'm sick. I did manage to keep up w/ the dishes (since I didn't cook it wasn't too hard) and DH...bless his heart...cleaned the bathrooms!

The evening meal went well and on plan.
We also got in 30 minutes of bike riding plus 45 minutes of dancing around like fools to 80s techno pop ; )

I already blew my no sweets during the week goal : ( I had a part of dd's chocolate bar after lunch.

We are going to go out for a long bike ride this afternoon to compensate for the calories but I've done horribly with that goal this week.

The rest of the day has been OK. I went for a run this morning (4 miles) and we brought our own air popped corn to our free movie this morning (they let you bring in food) to avoid the fatty oil popped corn they pop there.

I also had a salad for lunch (with my pre-measured dressing) and I'm planning the same for dinner so I should be OK calorie wise. Just wise I kept my trap shut and ate something more healthy instead of chocolate calories!

Did well until last night, and then had healthy stroganoff for dinner. Granted, it's a WW recipe, but I think had one too many servings. More fruits. I am off to the store for a fruit run today.
