After a little thinking on this I would say our kitchen is simple, but has a twist of fun items. I love my pans and new knobs on each of the doors.

I find that I am the same way these days. I try to keep this as simple as possibly. And then when I feel like add that twist of fun. Smiler

But, I can't wait to some day have my dream kitchen.

I'll answer more later, but I have to tell you about this...

We have over 50 bottles of wine. HOWEVER, they are not in our kitchen. They are in our master bathroom linin closet!!!

I know that sounds absolutely crazy, but...it has the most constant temperature in the house, and it is always cool. Our bathroom has vaulted ceilings, so it never gets hot in there like most bathrooms. (I will NEVER have a house with vaulted ceilings in the bathroom again. GREAT for storing wine, but not for showering. BRRRRRR)

I figure I would post some pictures as my powers of writen description are lacking : )

We built our house this past year so I feel like the kitchen is my baby : ) I designed it from top to bottom and it works beautifully for me.

I have my dream range - a 6 burner, gas, Wolf and it's my single favorite thing in the entire house. I'm so glad that we splurged on it. I also love that I have a spice drawer to the right of the stove, drawers for all the pots and pans and prep space on either side and directly behind the range.

I hope my kitchen says that I love to cook, am organized and hate clutter. I like everything to have a spot : )

I'm also the only cook in my house so didn't need to worry about anyone else getting in my way.

DH has his little section near the fridge which houses his wine fridge and capuccino maker. The rest of the kitchen is mine.

I also borrowed space from our deep garage to create the walk in pantry which is 8 x 4. It's L shaped with five shelves going across so it gives me tons of storage as my kitchen itself isn't huge.

If I had more $ and more space, I would have built the microwave into the island so dd could have access to it when she gets a bit older and made the eat-in-space larger as well. Being that those two things just weren't in the cards, I'm thrilled to pieces with how the kitchen turned out.

PS I live in a very small town in OH where the cost of living is dirt cheap compared to the rest of the country. I'm very, very fortunate to have my dream kitchen at a fraction of the price it would have cost elsewhere (and therefore would have been unafforable for us).
