Always a good idea to remind ourselves and celebrate the things that go right. I know for me, weekends can be more challenging all around so I thought maybe we could all chime in on what went right this weekend!

For me:
Exercised F/Sa/Su and for extended periods all 3 days. I'm back on track for my July exercise challenge and hopefully for getting back in the groove for the long term.

Came home last night and made myself a little dinner including a salad instead of eating out. I was starving and had to drive clear across town. I admit I did go to eat out but the place I went out to was closed and I didn't make a different/worse choice but went home and cooked.

I just made a veggie rich dinner to offset my indulgent lunch at a street fair. I hadn't had any veggies today so when I considered just having a small carb/protein snack, I opted to actually prep and cook veggies. BIG!

i had great exercise on saturday. a 45 min run , then weights and some kickboxing. i ate clean. i allowed myself to rest--watched Last Chance Harvey with dd, and read a little while also. i planted some Lantana, and also cilantro. I ate enough steamed broccoli to clear a room (hee hee hee) i went to bed at a decent hour.

sunday, i slept in late which was great. instead of a regular workout, i decided to rest myself. and each time i walked by my push upbars, i dropped and did some push ups. i know i got in at least 60 total.i ate clean. i went to bed early. i read the newspaper and went to see Public Enemies. Johnney Depp is very talented!

I got up this morning and did a long run. Had brown rice and chicken breast (more broccoli) for breakfast. had a ff sf yogurt for a morning snack. lunch is curry balls.

Goals:
1. Enjoy life!
2. Be aware, be awake, pay attention.
3. One word 2010: faith

Wow, Peg, it sounds like you had an amazing weekend. Sounds like the healthy eating gods thwarted your eating-out plans until your "better angels" could take over. ;-) Hooray for you for cooking at home. You know, that has been one of the biggest changes for me. Cooking. Some days I don't feel like it, but today I was in the zone. I guess my weekend accomplishment is walking both days and making a healthy (imagine that!) dinner for our friends -- a chunky tomato and eggplant sauce with whole wheat pasta and the lemon pudding cake out of KD's latest cookbook. Delicious AND health friendly.
