I'm joining you on the injured reserve bench.

I wanted to avoid an injury (ice and snow everywhere) so I went to the gym and ran on the treadmill. The change in surface (I'm used to concrete) was enough to cause the warning signs of a stress fracture. As of now, my foot is painful in one spot if I poke at it, but I can walk on it. Today's a rest day and lots of RICE-ing, tomorrow is a bike/strength day.

Tuesday I'll try to get out for a short run (I'm never touching a treadmill ever again!) outside or in the parking deck at school. If that is too much, it'll be elliptical or bike city for me.

Life is like a roller coaster, with lots of ups and downs, but the curves, spirals, loops and corkscrews are what make life interesting.

Bummer Laura!

I'm really struggling right now with my ankle. I feel like I'm right back where I was in October in terms of pain.

Be careful and don't over do it tomorrow. When my neighbor had her stress fracture she had to stop running for 6 weeks.

Out of our beliefs are born deeds; out of our deeds we form habits; out of our habits grows our character; and on our character we build our destiny.
