Need to stay mindful of the plan today as I'm eating both lunch and dinner later than usual which can sometimes be problematic for me in terms of hunger levels.

B: usual eng. muffin w/lite c. c.
L: veggie wrap and salad
S: veggie soup
D: baked chicken breast, snow peas, green beans

E: upper body weights in addition to core and pt

Friday is the splurge dinner so food needs to be super clean between now and then.

I added a chocolate covered pretzel at snack but went lighter on dinner. I'm thinking I'm closer to 1300 calories though.
I'll take it.

Hang in there, iz. This, too, shall pass.

I'm doing OK. I came up with some new "self-talk" that seems to be helping. When I'm tempted to snack or eat more than I planned at meals, I tell myself, "that doesn't work, so I'm trying something new." And I leave the kitchen or walk away from the candy box or put down the fork or otherwise remove myself from the temptation. Unfortunately, it's not 100% foolproof (yes, I'm calling myself a fool!) but it is helping me improve.

Today I am home alone all day, with no car. I have to walk to the grocery store and then walk to get DS from school. And I'm within 11,000 meters of my 100,000 meter erg challenge, so I'm motivated to reach that goal!

I have no specific goal(s) right now. I am trying to find the spiritual side of myself that I lost somewhere along the way.

I have not logged on fitday yet, but I'm aiming for a 1200 calorie day.

jilly, have a beautiful time in NY!

wednesday was the best for me, not the worst. i had an unplanned piece of chocolate cake (no icing though). i have had 2 nights of terrible sleep, and quite honestly, i have been stressed and depressed, and trying to emerge from a darkness that is no fun right now. considering all of that, 1 pice of cake is nothing since i have had consistent days of exercise and clean days.

b: salmon, brown rice, spinach (sushi style)
s: sf choc pudding
l: grill chik salad with broccoli
d: baked apples with cinn and lite whipped crm, bowl of veggie soup
and I NEED SLEEP like you would not believe!
e: a morning workout (1 hr on elliptical)that i barely finished

Goals:
1. Enjoy life!
2. Be aware, be awake, pay attention.
3. One word 2010: faith

My Thursday did not start off so well. I pulled into the gym parking lot and was psyched for a much needed workout and got an emergency call from work, one of our clients needed staff coverage today. I'm having a grapefruit right now for breakfast and plan a very light eating day. We are going to NYC tomorrow to see the Christmas show and do some shopping. We will be doing plenty of walking but we also plan to have a great dinner while we are in the city. There is also a chocolate place right near Rockefeller Center that sells (or used to sell) these amazing champagne chocolates so I'm sure I'll have some of those.
