I know how you feel. I had a poodle for a while and my father raised beagles when I was growing up. At one point all the females had pups at the same time. We then had 20 beagles, one cocker spaniel and the cat chose that time to have 4 kittens. My sister now has 3 dogs (mixed breeds) two birds and some goats. She had three goats until yesterday when she discovered that her newest goat had been pregnant when it was given to her last month. Now she has 4 goats. One of the dogs is literally a nervous wreck when a storm is near & has to have a tranquilizer. She also suffers from extreme seperation anexiety(sp?) when they leave them at home so they usually take her with them. My mother goes to their house to pet sit for the other animals when they go to the races.

Hang in there, Cathy. I totally relate to your attachment to your beagles, I have the same attachment to my Maltese. Laura
Life is like a roller coaster, with lots of ups and downs, but the curves, spirals, loops and corkscrews are what make life interesting.
