Oh, my gosh! DH just came home and announced that he has been laid off.
This is the only place I will share how scared I am about our finances. At the exact same time, I am relieved for him because he has been soooooo stressed since this new company took over a year ago, then he was changed from maintenance to housekeeping (that fits, doesn't it?).
At least he'll have unemployment. I'll see about getting on State Teacher's hospitalization. The knee surgery business better be a quick heal.
I'm sorry to hear that, Linda. I hope one of you is well-schooled on how unemployment works...I'll never forget keeping a spreadsheet of all the jobs I applied for...and having the woman who was my "counselor" tell me that I certainly was organized...for someone who didn't have a job.
TJ will be joining the ranks of the laid off come next Friday. When it rains, it pours...someone brought an umbrella, right?
Oh Linda, I'm so sorry to hear this. A lot of people have been going through this the past year and so many people my age and older are having a tough time finding another job. Seems like some ageism out there!
