Has anyone tried these? I'd love to know what you think of them. I tried a pair on yesterday and they felt comfortable. I'm thinking the Mary Jane style might be good to wear to work.
I just wondered if anyone has them and what you think.

Dawn-I would say no matter how much the Skechers tone-their Shape-Ups really are very comfortable and would be great for wearing to work, especially if you are standing/walking a lot.
The fit-flops I had (and that my dog had as a snack one day) were a little too big anyway so I felt like I was not getting the full effect but they sure were comfy.
I have no specific goal(s) right now. I am trying to find the spiritual side of myself that I lost somewhere along the way.
Thanks Jill! I actually have some Fit Flops. I don't know if they tone my legs anymore than other shoes, but they are SO comfortable. I actually have brand name Fit Flops and a Target brand. The Target brand it actually a bit more comfortable.
I'm still thinking about the Skechers for fall. They have a pair that are a Mary Jane that I could wear to work. I'm just trying to decide if I want those or Dansko clogs or another brand of clog (Klog) that they sell at the Z-Coil store here.

I now own a pair of Skechers shape up flip-flops and just got a pair of Reebok Easy Tone sneakers today. Here are my thoughts:
Skechers: Mine have a gray sole and silver sequined wide straps. They are cute and fun looking and I do feel like they offer more support than most other flip-flops or sandals I have. I do feel like my legs fatigue more when I wear them, especially in my calf muscles. I like them a lot. The have a thick sole but not anything like the sneakers.
Reebok Easy Tone: They were delivered today and I love the way they look. They fit well, are comfortable, and as soon as I began walking around in them I knew they were not the average sneaker. I think I took them a little too far and put 5 miles on them tonight. We did a hill at the beginning of our walk and this is a hill I've been walking up and down for some time and while it tires me, my legs have never felt like they did tonight which has to be the sneakers. You know that burn you get when you work out on a calf machine? That is what I was feeling through a lot of my workout and even the backs of my thighs were working harder. My legs are very sore tonight. I also have blisters because I should know better than to wear a brand new pair of sneakers 5 miles. I don't know if they really will help tone my legs-it feels like they might-but I love them right now.

I put on my Skechers Shape Ups this morning to walk the dog...first time I've worn them in a month or two...and immediately I was reminded of something I wanted to let people know about.
The Shape Ups (at least the model I have) have a much higher collar (the part of the shoe that goes around your ankle) than most sneakers. As a result, if you are short and/or have short or heavy ankles, they may not be as comfortable on you as someone else.
At 4'5 1/2", I have very short legs, so there is very little leg between where my calf ends and my foot begins. I'm also overweight. If I'm just walking on flat pavement, I do fine. However, if I am on an uneven surface (grass, hills, etc.), the collar of the shoe cuts into my ankle and can be very uncomfortable.
This is why I don't wear the Shape Ups as much as I'd intended to. When I walk the dog, I'm on a mixture of gravel, grass, packed sand and pavement. I was able to navigate all of the above this morning with the Shape Ups on, but I am much less sure-footed in these circumstances while wearing the Shape Ups than I would be in any of my other sneakers.
Just thought this would be good to know for anyone considering Shape Ups.

I can't get past that enormous sole on the Skechers shape-ups. It doesn't look quite as bad on the mary jane as the sneaker but that is one reason I haven't bought a pair. I am going to check out the Reebok Easytone since I need to get new sneakers. I've read some good reviews about them and the sole of the sneaker is much smaller than the Skechers. Of course Reebok only makes them in a sneaker not a shoe. I had those Fit-flops one time, wore them all summer (my dog chewed them apart), I liked them but I don't really think they helped at all.

The price is most of my issue Sheri. If they were less expensive, I'd be more willing to give them a try.
I don't actually plan to work out in mine. I would wear them to work so that I get more of a work out at work, and probably to walk the dog. Any serious distance walking I do, I would still wear my good running shoes instead.

I got a pair about 3-4 months ago. Not the standard sneaker but a somewhat dressier version that is tan suede. I like them, but I find that I don't wear them a great deal. Can't say for sure why, though the Skechers outlet store here encouraged me (strongly) to go UP in size, so I got a 6 when I was more likely going to buy a 5 1/2 and I find that my foot "floats around" more than I like.
I have a hard time getting them laced up tight enough...perhaps just because they're new. I have not worn them to the gym...I'm afraid to because I'm not sure how they will affect my balance when walking on the treadmill or lifting weights. But for dog walking or running errands, they work fine. They are MUCH more expensive than I expected, though perhaps at someplace like a DSW, not so much. I bought mine at the Skechers outlet here in Rehoboth.
So, bottom line--I like them and they are nice looking, but they haven't entirely won me over yet.

I am intrigued by these as well. I saw some at DSW a few months ago, and wasn't too sure what to think of them. They were a little funny looking, but I haven't seen the mary jane style. I am always a sucker for mary janes. Perhaps my mom and I will have to make a shoe run...
