i feel i have spent the entire day running around, packing and trying to remember multiple lists in my head. like many women, the job of making sure the whole family is properly packed falls on my shoulders. i am 95% done!

i will see if i can check in over the weekend if i can get a connection in the hotel. If not, then will check in tuesday morning. I apologize in advance if monday's homework is posted tuesday.

i feel solid and strong and ready to face the Chinese Mafia! thanks for all your help.

Goals:
1. Stop thinking like a chronic dieter and start living to inspire.
2. HALT (hungry, anxious, lonely, tired) I will stop and tune in with myself should I experience these things, and respond with something healthy.
3. One word 2008: courage
4. Eat slow and mindfully.

Isabel: Were you at Dulles Airport or Reagan National? If Reagan, and if I'd known in advance you had such a lengthy layover, I could have stopped by to meet you. I live only about 10-15 minutes from Reagan National. Dulles, however, is a bit of a hike, even though it is in Virginia and so am I.

Rest of Summer Goals:
1. Exercise-Cardio: Min. 2-3 walking or DVD cardio workouts per week.
2. Exercise-Weights/Toning: Min. 1 weight plus 1 toning workout per week.
3. Food: Get those veggie servings back up to where they were!
4. Behavior: Start reducing sweets now that the automatic after-meal response is better.

i am in DC airport right now. we have a 3 hour wait until we get on the next flight. i walked for an hour in the airport with a full backpack. it is pretty raining and icky in DC.

so glad i planned for healthy snacks because everything seems to be overpriced and under-taste "food for purchase" or dunkin donuts!

still feelin' optimistic!

Isabel, you probably already know this -- but I just realized that this weekend is the Chinese New Year celebration in Chinatown. So most of what I told you about "strolling" through that neighborhood is null and void because it will be even more crowded than usual. You should still pay a visit, though, as there will be lots to see and do.

Have a great time!

Safe travels Isabel! I hope you are able to have an enjoyable trip.
