I wore my favorite, just below the waist, boot cut jeans today with a wonderful wide belt (so wide that it barely fit within the loops).
I have heard Stacy and Clinton talk about the power of wide belts but wow, it's really true!
I looked at least 5 pounds slimmer today and felt great. It helped balance out my larger tush and took some attention away from that area.

It was also special because this belt was my mil's so I felt like I carried a piece of her with me all day long. : )

Brie,

I second Jen's opinion. You ARE beautiful - in and out.

I learned this week how good those comments are. I went to lunch w/a gf I hadn't seen for several months. She though I'd lost weight. I started to poo poo that then I recalled I hadn't been on the scale in a while, been walking relatively religiously and what the heck - maybe I have.

Take those positive comments and RUN!!!!!

i was just going to write my own note about the power of a good haircut but i'll just add on here. I've been feeling like a goober and feeling ugly...i've had this ongoing cold which hasn't helped... i wasn't due for a haircut but my hair was bugging me. so I went in and took pictures of myself of when i liked my hair, told my hair guy that he did a great cut but I wasn't up for whole routine every day. well he did his magic and I look fabulous. Even DH noticed. Also got my eyebrows waxed. That always helps.

I have also heard that lipstick and earings are two other things that really can make you look and feel great when you otherwise don't.
