Well I woke up feeling ugh, was back to my starting weight of 164... and feeling very frustrated.. well my husband said... what weight do you want to be? I said 130.. he said make ya a deal, stop being upset... start a new.. and when you get to you "happy" weight, I will get you your baby parrot that you have always wanted.. YIPPEE.. we have a cockatiel and parakeet now.. Those birds are about $1600 or more for a baby handfed...how sweet of him???? Poor guy was never an animal guy... we have a dog, three 55 gallon aquarium, turtles (those were rescues) and 2 birds... sooon to be 3... I am so excited.. now if this doesn't get my butt moving I might as well give up and face it, I am going to be fat.. get use to it.. but I am not going to get use to it.. just wait and see.. okay, sorry, I am just so excited.. Laurie, I have decided on a Moluccan Cockatoo...the Grey is a bit nippy but the best talker... gets close to one person... the Moluccan is the next best talker and is the most friendly.. with the kids and other birds, that would be the best.. I have eaten perfectly today... and walked twice... Cindy

Thanks, yes that is me.. the one who won't shut up about her kids and animals... and yes, I did very well at losing... I never made it to the 130 mark for my baby shoes... but that is a great idea.... for every 5 pounds I lose I will buy a toy for the bird..and for every 10 pounds I will get something more expensive for it.. thanks for that great idea... my "baby" that I use to write about is now 2 1/2... wow... I remember reading your posts on another website and always enjoyed hearing about your children and your animals.
I know that you have had success losing weight before(were you the one with baby shoes for every 10 lbs.?) and that you can do it again.
I have just started reading "Thin for Life" and that is giving me some inspiration to believe that this time I can get the weight off and keep it off. I have also thought "why bother, I'm just going to gain it again", but now I know that's not true.
You can do this. Just take small steps that you can live with. (Maybe your rewards this time for every 5 or 10 lbs. could be something bird related!)
90 day goal: 4 days of cardio, 3 days of strength training each week.
PS.... sorry.. just don't want you all to think I am only losing weight for a bird.. I really want to feel healthy again.. have a great summer with my kids.. set an example.. those are the most important reasons.. the bird is just the icing on the cake..Cindy
