I rarely use AIM, but thought that people here might be interested in knowing that a new version is available.

I mention this, because apparently a lot of people disliked the last version.

Okay this afternoon I downloaded the new AIM and tried it with the Sunday Afternoon FlyChat. It is MUCH improved over the Triton Version of AIM. I am not seeing the slowdowns in my machine that I saw with triton.

I have never tried it, but there apparently is a web-based version of AIM too.

As much as I would love to participate in the FlyChats, I won't as long as I have to have Triton installed. That thing is a system resource hog.
