I'm sitting in my favorite chair enjoying a comfortably cool breeze. My dog is near by and it's just a peaceful moment.

In fact, it's making me want to take a nap. It's been an insane week for me. So homework is coming from this bit of peace...

What is your favorite spot in your house to just sit?

What do you do to just turn off your brain and relax there?

Do you have a favorite place outside of your house to just be in the moment?

Take time this weekend to do just that. You deserve it!!!

Life is like a roller coaster, with lots of ups and downs, but the curves, spirals, loops and corkscrews are what make life interesting.

We have a spare bedroom upstairs that I convered into a reading room for me. I have 2 great chiars in there and an old desk and legal book case. It is a smallish room with two nice windows.

Outside I have been relaxing at the pool. It overlooks hundreds of pine trees and is generally quiet. We're going to the pool this afternoon.

Summer Goal:
Eat Sitting Down

In my new house, I LOVE to sit in the 4 season room. We even put our kitchen table out there to have our meals. It can be like a screened in porch with the doors open, or a sunroom. It has heat and air too if it is too hot or cold.

I can watch the water, or all of the birds. It is really really nice.

I haven't found a new place to go outside of my home since we are new here.

My favorite spot to just sit and relax in my house would be either in the backyard, sitting in the sun, or in my living room-after I have really cleaned and everything is put away.

To turn off my brain and relax I like to lay on my yoga mat on the floor and meditate.

My favorite place to be outside-and this is WAY outside my house-would be to drive to the beach(about a 2 hr drive and I love the drive there too), and just sit there by myself and just enjoy the sounds, the water, the sun, the smells.

Jill

Summer Challenge Goals:
1) Walk 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week
2) Plan weekly menus

What is your favorite spot in your house to just sit? I have an old recliner that I know was made for me, I fit in it just perfect, and my feet touch the floor. I can look outside my picture window and just dream, or sleep; a dog on each side of me.

What do you do to just turn off your brain and relax there? I'll just sit, sometimes my eyes are open, and occasionally they will close, but it's just sitting. If it's cool, I'll pull a comforter over me, and just sit.

Do you have a favorite place outside of your house to just be in the moment? We have the neatest coffee house made from a gutted house. They have it fixed up as if it were a house, but there are many more rooms that have tables, couches, chairs, etc., and it is the nicest most calm place on earth in ABerdeen. Outside of Aberdeen, I'd be on a mountain, but for that I would have to leave the state.

Summer Challenge Goals:

1. Get out of the house and in the pool four days a week.
2. Schedule meals a week at a time.
3. five fruits and vegetables a day, along with water.

I have a chaise lounge in my master bedroom that sits in under a bay window with a great view of our backyard. I actually spent about an hour there this afternoon relaxing and it was wonderful!

Outdoors it's a tie between the lake loop in my favorite park and our new cushioned lounge chair in our backyard. We live on a fully wooded lot with virgin forest behind us and the wildlife is just amazing. This morning we saw a doe and her fawn and the number of birds is just amazing. (On the other hand I saw a snake while I was mowing this afternoon - ick!)

summer 7 challenge goals:
- Meditate every day
- Start the day with positive imagery and self talk

Out of our beliefs are born deeds; out of our deeds we form habits; out of our habits grows our character; and on our character we build our destiny.

I love my porch or lying on my bed during the daytime on a sunny day with a good book.

Today as I was doing my run/walk, I noticed all the birds singing and flitting around along the bike trail. The mulberries are ripe and it sounds like they're celebrating. I would like to learn how to identify all of them by their different songs, but it was beautiful.

I answered part of my homework introducing it.

I have three favorite places to just relax. The beach at Cedar Point (yes, there are things to do there besides ride roller coasters), riding my bike along the Cuyahoga River, and Starbucks with a book that isn't school related(mostly in the winter).

I'm still trying to figure out how to get in a bike ride this weekend. It's tough when both of my mornings & afternoons are mostly shot. But I'm going to do something.

I think I'll also take a non-school book to Starbucks tomorrow night when I go to study. That will be my "break".
