Well, not that I'm a protective mother or anything, but I'm leaving tomorrow morning to drive my son and two friends to Dallas so they can attend Quakecon (a gaming convention).

I wil be on my own, which is fine. I figure as long as I can read and write I will be entertained, but then again…

We will arrive on Thursday and leave on Sunday. What shouldn't I miss? I don't have much money since most went to rent the vehicle we are driving down that has air conditioning and room for all of their (and my) computers.

The Book Depository is supposed to be something to see. My brother-in-law was moved by it. I haven't been, but I know it made a big impression on him.

I've never been there, but I've heard it's steaming hot and humid, so pack accordingly! Smiler

I've only been in Dallas long enough to drive through it. Razzer My best suggestion is to make triple sure you know about any road construction and how to avoid it, as you can sit there for multiples of hours if you hit any lane reductions during rush hours.

Have fun!
