Well, not that I'm a protective mother or anything, but I'm leaving tomorrow morning to drive my son and two friends to Dallas so they can attend Quakecon (a gaming convention).
I wil be on my own, which is fine. I figure as long as I can read and write I will be entertained, but then again…
We will arrive on Thursday and leave on Sunday. What shouldn't I miss? I don't have much money since most went to rent the vehicle we are driving down that has air conditioning and room for all of their (and my) computers.
I've only been in Dallas long enough to drive through it. My best suggestion is to make triple sure you know about any road construction and how to avoid it, as you can sit there for multiples of hours if you hit any lane reductions during rush hours.
Have fun!
Life is like a roller coaster, with lots of ups and downs, but the curves, spirals, loops and corkscrews are what make life interesting.
