At our last WW meeting we talked a lot about forms of exercise. We happen to have many women who have been with WW in our community for over 30 years, they started the group; and are now in their 60 -70-80's....for most of these women, walking is becoming a problem. Normal forms of exercise that we all take for granted are not available to them because of other health reasons. Several have breathing problems that make extensive exercise a problem. Although their docs have all cleared them for "something" none of the docs have given them any ideas. We suggested seeing the PT people or even someone from the nursing home rehab sections for help. One gal said that her grandmother had received a VHS tape with "chair exercises"...has anyone heard of such a tape, and where did you hear about it. I'd love to be able to give one to my father...and share the info with the women. They are truly an inspiration at our meetings. Most, I'd say 95% have kept their weight off all those years, despite health and life circumstances.
I'm doing searches, but if you have heard of them, please share your info!
Thanks Cathy J

BTW, the printed http://collagevideo.com catalog includes both a 1-800 number and a printed mail-order form, so you don't need computer access to buy from them. (1-800-433-6769)
It includes a Specialty: Seniors page and a Specialty: Back Pain and Special Situations page.
It includes The Sit And Be Fit Series, Safe On Your Feet Fall Prevention, Tai Chi for Seniors, Chair Dancing Series, Sit And Be Fit: Balance & Fall Prevention Workout, Stress-Free Exercise for Arthritis, and more.

Cathy, This is a link to a sit down t-tapp workout, the description says it can be done sitting at a desk, in front of the tv, or even for those in a wheelchair. http://www.t-tapp.com/store/shopexd.asp?id=391
