I noticed that you were fasting today. I hope you don't mind me asking, but I was wondering why. My dh will sometimes fast on certain religious occasions and I wondered if that was what you were doing. I hope I didn't offend you by asking.

Well, my reason for fasting was two fold. The first reason was simply because I have lost the ability to tell when I'm truly hungry, so I wanted to fast to kind of get back on track with that. I have felt convicted recently by reading some posts from people about not being hungry until later in the morning, or not being hungry at night time, etc, and I realized that I don't really ever feel hunger anymore, and that eating has become more of a habit than something to fuel my body.

The MAIN reason that I was fasting is faith-based. I have several people that are close to me that are suffering through life threatening illnesses right now, and I felt compelled to fast and pray for them yesterday.

Other than eating that small sandwich at noontime yesterday (can't very well be shakey with 4 children in the house), I did well on the fast, and was able to accomplish my goals for the fast. and today I am back to normal.

Blessings,

Lori
