OK, I admit that I have a selfish reason for starting this post -- I have signed up for WW again and am going to make it work, H or high water.... would love some good ideas that would be different than the ones I'd think up. I would prefer "Real Food" ideas vs. the ones I hear about at meetings made out of fat-free Cool Whip, Diet Coke, and sugar-free pudding.
Now, my altruistic side: I just made myself a really great treat and I thought I'd share. It was 5 points the way I made it but I could easily see ways to slim it down. I mixed together:
1 cup Stonyfield Farm low-fat vanilla yogurt (3)
1/2 cup Kashi Go Lean Crunch (1)
1 diced ripe peach (1)
I know 5 points might not seem like a low-point snack, but it was worth it.
You could slim it down if you use uncooked oats in place of the Kashi, plain yogurt instead of the vanilla, 8se less yogurt and cereal, etc. You could add a sprinkle of cinnamon too.
It was a sweet and very filling treat -- I had it more than an hour ago after my morning swim and I'm still not even a little hungry yet. I had a light breakfast before swimming because swimming with a full stomach is a recipe for queasiness.
Anyway, would love to see other people's ideas.

I don't buy the WW snacks...way to spendy for my food budget. I believe in real food...that I can feed or give to my family without breaking the bank. If I had to spend the money I'd get WW's New complete Cookbook....it's a "betty crocker" of WW. Great recipes, real food, and the counts are already out there for you. It has everything you'd ever want to eat and more. I believe you can get it at amazon or barnes and noble. Very much worth the $$.
Welcome to WW...
And if you take the time KD's recipes can be figured out in points using your point guide.
It's never too late to get it right.

I don't know the points, but I love to take red grapes and "string" them on pretzel sticks. It gives you a sweet salty thing at the same time. Plus it takes time to actually do it so the snack lasts longer.
And I am with Lori. I love using KD's slaws as snacks. I also love balsamic roasted beets. I would think it would be very low in points. Kathy
I really love KDs Apple and Raw Beet Slaw and Carrot Quik Slaw for snacks. These are very low points and they keep me going until the next meal time. Sometimes I'll add a tablespoon of chopped peanuts or cashews on top to add a little crunch and protein. PERFECT and still less than 3 points!
Blessings,
Lori

I took a suggestion from mountaingirl (I believe) and now have a new favorite ...
Drain fat-free vanilla yogurt through a coffee filter overnight, then top with berries. The yogurt gets really creamy, like pudding. I cut the sugar even further by mixing 1/2 plain and 1/2 vanilla fat-free yogurt. Still sweet enough, but not as tart as the plain on its own.

One thing I love about WW is their recipes. I get the magazine and also have several of the cookbooks. The takeout one is really good.
Don't feel like you have to go running off to type a recipe for me, just wondered if anyone had any personal "tricks."

I would second all Stehp's ideas too.
I don't know how many points this would be but I love pastrami(very thinly sliced-I think it is Hillshire fars-the sodium isn't too bad either) and I take a few pieces of that and wrap it around some grapes(the purple ones).
