Don't you have family in Myrtle Beach? Are they Ok?

I was watching storm coverage last night and they were also talking about the horrible fires in and around Myrtle Beach.

We had storms all around us last night but I don't think we have any damage. Have not been outside yet.

Thanks for asking. Yes, my parents live in Myrtle Beach, but not North Myrtle Beach. They live in the southern Myrtle Beach, close to Murrell's Inlet. My mom said that it is pretty bad in North Myrtle, but is now about 50% contained. It is so sad-70 homes burned and about 15,000 acres have burned. They are far enough away that they shouldn't be directly affected. They do have friends in North Myrtle, but they seem to be safe at this point. What blows my mind is that embers blew over a 6-lane highway and that is how the homes burned! That is a very scary thought.
