Well, I started out well this week losing another pound and promising myself I would stick with program and do my best to maintain. SO....after chinese last night, a McD's burrito (usually eat a plain bagel and OJ) and a mcmuffin for breakfast AND topping it off with three chocolate covered cherries, I feel as if my resolve has resolved out the door.

So I am writing to say....I can do it, I can do it, I can do it! I am back on track with dinner and fruits and vegetables. DH is bringing me some OJ which really does help with keeping me on the straight path. But to be honest I am afraid, it is so emotionally charged important to me to stay at this mark these next two weeks. I will not give up.

Thanks for listening....

Merry Christmas and safe holidays.

Cathy J

I can hear the disappointment in your words. Thanks for sharing with us, and know we are with you and your feelings. Bless you.

Goals:
1. Stop thinking like a chronic dieter and start living to inspire.
2. HALT (hungry, anxious, lonely, tired) I will stop and tune in with myself should I experience these things, and respond with something healthy.
3. One word 2008: courage
4. Eat slow and mindfully.

Okay, so son #1 called, snowing at his place, and ice is coming at ours for tomorrow. Smartly he stayed put for today, may try tomorrow. YIKES, where is the darvon....? BUT, the good news is that Christmas is just a day on the calendar, and we can celebrate when he can come. No need to feel like I've been kicked in the stomach....I am sad right now, but I'd rather have him alive, than our sailing off to some small town hospital to see if he's alive. It's not worth it. There are mothers whose children are farther away and in harms way, pray for them...there are mothers who are far away and in harms way, pray for them.

It's okay.

cathy, i am impressed with your tenacity to get back on track. that is something to admire.

i also admire that you are a swimmer. i love being in water but it is all i can do to not drown. no wonder you can stay the course--you understand what it is like to encounter all kinds of currents but keep swimming.
have a blessed holiday.

Cathy,

You CAN do it! It is so hard this time of year to stick to a plan, with all the parties, cookies, candy, etc. I admire your determination and getting right back in the saddle after some setbacks. Merry Christmas to you too!

Jill

Summer Challenge Goals:
1) Walk 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week
2) Plan weekly menus
