Hah! I got a bottle of late-harvest reisling as a gift from our wine shop and have a recipe for a reisling sorbet I'm dying to try out. Scoops (small ones) for anyone who makes it over!
Challenge Goals: *10 minutes of unplanned exercise five times a week *Gym time twice a week *Socialize at least once every two weeks.
There are three beverages that I will drink...water, iced green tea, and 1/2 bottle of gatorade. (Gatorade is ONLY before or after a run in warmer weather, because I find it waaaayyy to sweet for my taste, even diluted.)
DH keeps clear, uncaffeinated, diet soda, milk, and kool aid in the house for his consumption. I don't drink any of it and none of it is tempting, unless I've got a peanut butter sandwich in my hands, in which case I'll drink an 8 oz. glass of milk. (This is the ONLY time I'll drink milk.)
Occasionally I'll buy some extra regular soda for company, but regulars at my house know what to expect ahead of time.
My mother in law loves strawberry lemonade kool aid mixed with lemon lime soda and orange rings. It makes a great punch.
Life is like a roller coaster, with lots of ups and downs, but the curves, spirals, loops and corkscrews are what make life interesting.
When we entertain, the rule is: Drink our water or wine/beer that we chose to go with the meal, or bring your own.
We're perfectly fine with people bringing their own drinks, but refuse to buy diet soda, diet un-caffienated soda, regular soda, Splenda soda, root beer in a bottle, or whatever other "ONLY" drinks people insist on.
Roses (roh-zays, I can't find the accent) are my choice for outdoor things. A *real* rose' is made from a red grape, with the skins removed after a certain time, so the flavor is similar to reds, but not as deep. So things that would go great with reds also taste wonderful with a rose', and they're light enough to work well with foods that typically need a white.
Reisling floats are one thing we've served to outstanding reviews, but they take some effort.
Make or track down a sorbet or ice cream whose primary flavors play against or with a reisling...lavender sorbet (made), honey ice cream (purchased), orange blossom sorbet (purchased). Serve the well-chilled reisling in a champagne flute, with two small scoops of the ice cream. So different, so good.
But probably not on the "healthy" continuum.
Oh! And mojitos.

We don’t do that much entertaining. But on the calorie continuum... Here are my summer drinks of choice.
List of every day drinks (that I might have 3-4-5 times a day) to “special” drinks (I might have once a summer):
Ice tea, black… no sugar. Either decaf or with or green or whatever. Several, several times a day.
Ice coffee, in blender with milk (count it as a milk serving- and it is more of a “snack“ than a “beverage“ ) Or Ice tea, with milk (milk serving) Once a day.
Fruit smoothie… but this is REALLY, REALLY more of snack… or a mini meal. Once a day.
Non-alcoholic beer - 90 calories… maybe once or twice a month during the summer. I like nonalcoholic beer fine… and you can still drive after drinking. I’m not comfortable after drinking… at all… even after one beer.
Lemonade with sugar. (maybe twice or three times a summer)
Hard Lemonade with sugar and Jack Daniels (if I had some… but any whiskey will do… I think) Maybe on July 4th and Labor Day…
LOL...definitely not a 'royal' option but we serve good 'ole lemonade made from the frozen concentrate. Make an ice ring with some sliced fruit in it and serve it from a punch bowl and everyone thinks it's gourmet! LOL
I have a wonderful fall punch recipe but it tastes very fall-like.
I am not very original either. I drink lots of herbal iced tea- unsweetened. I especially like raspberry or peppermint with basil leaves.
I also drink black tea with skim milk and sugar or splenda. (1 part tea to one part skim milk) It really tastes like a sweet, milky treat for about 100 calories- I use it as my milk serving.

One of my favorites is orange water. Basically slice a bunch of oranges and let them float around in the water. Very refreshing. It is also good with strawberries instead of oranges. It gives the water a hint of sweetness and a subtle flavor.
Last summer Cooking Light had a recipe for Strawberry Agua Fresca that was great. I served it at a baby shower and it was a big hit. I don't know what issue it was in, but it might be on their website.
I also love sun teas.
Another thing that my brother and I used to make in the summers was a fizzy lime spritzer. Cut some limes into quarters, squeeze them into a glass filled with ice. Throw the squeezed limes into the glass along with the juice, add club soda and sweetener to taste. Yum! This is also good with a bit of rum, but we didn't discover that until we were much older.
The first thing that came to mind is mojitos Which are really not healthy, quick and easy, yes, healthy nope. Ummm, wait, they have fresh mint and lime though so I guess you argue the "healthy" point.
Non-alcoholic would be home made mint tea using fresh mint from my yard.
