It's a show on TLC, stop looking at me like that!

I watched it in its first incarnation and thought some of menus weren't very...family friendly. There's a new host/nutritionist coming this time, so hopefully that will change.

What I *did* like about the show was the way it forced parents to look at the habits they were teaching their kids--showing that fast food every night really CAN set a precedent for your child. I also liked how they focused on the whole family, getting parents to spend time with the kids AND with each other. Almost a lifestyle makeover.

Did anyone else watch this...and would you watch it now?

How cool is that! KD would be great!

Out of our beliefs are born deeds; out of our deeds we form habits; out of our habits grows our character; and on our character we build our destiny.

I watched a few episodes of the original version, and I thought it was a good idea poorly executed. A new host might make a difference if they allow her to display a sense of humor or any kind of warmth -- both were totally missing from the doctor who was hosting. Also, it was hard to watch sometimes because the kids were such brats and the parents displayed such a complete lack of parenting skills.

But like you said, D, it is helpful to get families to see the influence they have on each other and how they can help (or hurt) other members.

We'll see what's changed.

I saw it last season a couple of times.
I thought the changes were too radical and happened too quickly.
I would love to see these families a year from now and if they were able to maintain the changes.
