Well, DH, DS & I all went to the Dr. yesterday. It turned out that DS is getting over the flu, I've got the flu & DH is showing signs of getting the flu. I had 102 degree fever, but at least DH & DS's temps were normal. Dh & I were prescribed Tamiflu and DS was prescribed some antibiotics.

What is so weird is that I thought it was just sinus infections and we are all so run down with everything that has been going on. DS had a runny nose, he had NO fever any time I checked (really strange) and was still running around playing during this. He had seemed to loose his appetite but drank a lot of fluids.

The doctor told us that the flu this year seemed to be more of the "head" stuff (runny nose, sore throat, congestion & coughs) and less of the body aches & pains & nausea.

So if any of you guys start getting a runny nose & scratchy throat, RUN to you doctor!!

It seems like all I can do lately is to come here and post about the bad things that is going on in my life. I'm just so tired right now.

I guess I'm venting but I also needed to lay my head on your shoulders for a sec. Smiler (At least I'm not contagious over the net! Wink)

Take care everyone and like I said before, go to your doctor at the first sign of a sniffle. Tamiflu really does help ease the symptoms and may even cut the number of days you are sick short.

I can relate to the flu/cold/sinus stuff. I have had a sinus infection since the last week of December. I have been on 2 different antibotics and it still isn't 100% gone. HANG IN THERE - it has gotten better with rest and time.

Sorry to hear you're feeling rotten ske Frowner Take it easy and get better soon!

I feel yer pain ... I was really sick from Jan 1-10. In retrospect, I think it was walking pneumonia (aka mycoplasma infection).

I'm still feeling the effects, in the form of bronchitis -- still phlegmmy with a constant low grade fever.

So all y'all out there, please keep washing your hands, and if you sneeze, do it in the crook of your arm. Much 'ppreciated! Wink

I think it depends where you live because they are completely out in our area.

We are all going through the same thing on our end. DD is probably doing the best out of all of us and seems more back to normal. I seem to be improving as well but now I have a persistat cough and dh just got sick yesterday.

Nooooo! Don't say it! I was bragging today that I hardley ever get sick since I turned 40. I used to spend Thanksgiving to St. Pat's Day sick, so by the time I got to 40 I'd pretty much had every virus and was immune.

Let's hope the bragging doesn't lead to a cold or flu. Smiler

I am so sorry you aren't feeling well. I know that when I am sick, I turn into a real baby. As you can tell I am not a mom but sometimes even as a mom, you need paper yourself when you're sick. Take a few minutes in your hectic day and do something specifically for you (ex. curl up in bed for 15 minutes and read a book). I think this would help you feel better. In the meantime, I am sending lots of sympathy your way.
Take care!

I know what it is though, I bragged too much this summer about "really being healthy and never getting sick much". I've brought it all on myself. Razzer
