Coming into the second weekend of the challenge. Not a holiday this time, but still a break in the regular routine. Do you have a plan for the weekend? What else is going on?
On Friday night, I'm going to a jewelry party hosted by one of the moms at school. Hoping I'm not under too much pressure to buy -- I'm thinking the stuff isn't my style, based on the flyers I've seen. But it will be fun to get together with some friends for an evening. But I will need to be sure not to overindulge on the hors d'oeuvres and wine.
We had a change of plans with dinner and went out for sushi. I ate mindfully and slowly and everything else was on plan so I'm counting Friday as a success
Out of our beliefs are born deeds; out of our deeds we form habits; out of our habits grows our character; and on our character we build our destiny.
I did my pre-rowing run, as scheduled, and skipped the morning snack. I also had fruit for a snack this afternoon. However, I did have a bigger lunch than planned, and I just ate a mini-bagel to take the edge off my hunger before I head out to this jewelry party. My strategy will be to stay away from the food table.
The next 4 days will be tough. I have out of state company coming, and there will be lots of restaurant food.
Today is okay, I'm still on track for the rest of the day. And I'm more worried about doing the 95 things I have left to do before my sis gets here than I am snacking.
Life is like a roller coaster, with lots of ups and downs, but the curves, spirals, loops and corkscrews are what make life interesting.
Plan for today: E: run and 30 minutes yoga/core work B: usual english muffin/lite cream cheese L: salad S: yogurt and a peach D: cornish game hen, zucchini, salad
As for the weekend, we have a graduation party we are going to tomorrow night. I know there will be pasta and salad as an option for food but that's it. I will be mindful and focus on chatting and not eating. That should be the only potential pitfall.
