Well, my former "goal pants" still fit, a teensy bit snugger than I'd like. I need to get new goal pants, maybe size 10. (that was supposed to be the size 12!)
I am very happy to report I'm back under my red light weight that I was a couple of pounds over the last time I weighed (about 3.5 weeks ago). I'm relieved and pleased to see that my body really doesn't seem to easily add back on 'real' lbs because I know I ate a lot more for a good chunk of that period and it still managed to balance out. I know at some point on my trip I was up some because of the fit of my clothes. Life gave me a good opportunity to really 'test' my new lifestyle and it got an A!
I have found it very hard to stay focused these past weeks. I have made and appointment with a nutritionist and am trying desperatly to find a GP who is taking new patients. It is incredible how hard it is to see a doctor. I might just have to go to the walk in clinic (wait 5 hours) just to get a referral to a dermatologist). Well, I will call more Dr's offices tomorrow.
I need to focus on my baby stepping again
Enjoy every minute!
Jennifer

I've experienced this caloric "back-lash" many times.
I've made "bad" choices for a few days and have thought that I've dodged a scale bullet and the weight gain has come back to haunt me about 7 days later.
A lot of times I'll hear people at WW say, "Well, I was off track for a few days, but I've been back on track for 5 days now and I don't understand why I gained..."
Nelson got this fortune cookie once that said, "The laws sometimes sleep, but never die." For some reason, it made me think of this caloric delay. If I eat more than I burn… I WILL gain weight... eventually. There is no escaping the laws of thermo-dynamics - they might sleep for a week, but never die.
I was in Delaware last Wednesday so I didn't have a weigh-in and didn't post last week. My comparison weight this week is from before vacation.
Before vacation: 153.4
After vacation: 155.0
I think the saddest thing about this is that, when I came back from Rehoboth last Thursday, I was just a fraction above my weight from the week before.
Since I've been home, I've GAINED weight. I definitely made a few bad choices after I got home, but then I made a few bad ones in Delaware too, so it doesn't seem to make sense that I gained AFTER I got home but not before. Oh well. I've been logging my food really carefully since Monday and will hopefully be able to turn this around.

One pound down from last week, still 2 above my official goal weight but I feel good anyhow! I'm in a much better frame of mind this week too, which matters a lot.
