ARRRRRRGGGGGGGH

My inner 2 year old is yammering for junk food. Make her STOP. I've fed her an apple and some yogurt in hopes that would make her quiet, but she's still screaming.

My inner toddler was and is really bummed out and yammering today. I was white-knuckling it all afternoon listening to her demand dark chocolate ("it's ORGANIC! it's HEALTHY! I WANT IT NOW!!") and although it's late in the evening and there isn't a single item in the pantry that I feel like eating (okay, maybe a couple of totally boooring cookies), she just won't SHUT UP.

Sounds like she needs a nap or a run in the park....something fun to keep her mind off of what she thinks she really wants, but will not want it in an hour!

It's never too late to get it right.

My sweetie says he can time how often I get up and pee by how much I have to drink. When I am at home I try to stop drinking around 10 so I am not up and down all night.

Actually I ended up calming her down with some music. A little Moby, Some New Order, and finally Depeche Mode. She was much happier with music than she was with food (although she did get fast food for dinner tonight).

PS... Last night, My toddler wanted to start Thanksgiving a little early and was thinking...

"Lets make some pumpkin bread...."

I wasn't hungry. I was REALLY full from dinner. (Ate like 2-3 of fruit salad).

We usually have fruit for dessert... and pumpkin IS a fruit... and dear Toddler Within wanted it baked with flour and eggs and butter and smeared with more butter.

Drank so much tea, I was up going pee all night.
Smiler

When my dd was 2 and would pitch a fit, I ignored her or gave her a time out for a rest and rethink in her room.

Not giving in to the fit makes the next fit smaller and then smaller yet the next time.
