Haven't posted this stuff in a while ... ulgh:

Exercise - off (first time all week!)
B - Kashi mix cereal, coffee
S - string cheese
L - ham and lettuce on ww, no mayo
S - tea and trail mix
D - ribs, chicken
De - choc dipped strawberries

Dinner's gonne be hard tonight. The whole fam plus my gf, her son and my brother's buddy are getting together for various and sundry bbq'ed meats.

When the fam's together - that means sumptuous food and copious alkamahol. Wish me luck! Thank goodness I have 2 soccer games on Sunday.

We are having vegetarian enchilladas tonight. I am not making them, but, by the chopping going on in my kitchen it should be good. I guess hub. is making them just like regular ench. but with vegies and tofu only. I've never had tofu, so this should be interesting. A salad and some salsa to top it off....I'll report the success later.

It's never too late to get it right.

Went to Fresh Market and had a cheese sandwich made, w/ lettuce tomato and sprouts. They put WAY too much cheese on, so I took a lot off, then they also put so much mustard on it that the bread was falling apart. I ended up eating half the sandwich, and then taking one slice of bread off. I also had fruit salad and FUZE Mojo Mango drink.

Am fasting today (juice fast), but will eat a light dinner tonight.

Dinner tonight will be:
broiled chicken breast
sauteed swiss chard
and maybe possibly a boiled red potato with dill

Will be back to normal tomorrow.

Blessings,

Lori

GREAT restaurants are worth going over calories for.

Congrats on hitting 129!!! Breaking the 5 lbs points are especially rewarding for some reason.

Ok I posted this on the other site as well. Tomorrow will be a good food day. The last week or so, my plans were quickly made and even more quickly broken. Bad habits sneaking back in. So I sat down, figured out what i need to do to make a workable plan. I shopped today, and baked. So here is tomorrow's plan:

Breakfast - I made a quiche with a southwestern flair. It has ham, grape tomatoes and diced red bell pepper. I sprinkled the top with a chipotle cheddar cheese, I'll top it with salsa when I eat it. Oh and I threw in some chili powder, cumin and cilantro. It has all the flavors of the breakfast sandwich I was eating, with out the "I don't want to cook" excuse. I'll have an apple with it.

Lunch will be a 1/2 cup of homemade hummous (I skip the tahini so it has less fat), some rye melba toasts and a salad. It is all made and together, no excuses for no bringing it.

Dinner will be a special treat for me. DH is working tomorrow night, so I am on my own. He hates scallops. I bought myself a half pound of bay scallops and froze half. The other half I will use in a pasta dish tomorrow night, loaded with veggies. It's kinda a makit up as you go kind of thing (my favorite way to cook). I may have another small salad to fill in also.

Snacks will be a fruit smoothie, popcorn and my warm milk drink.

Laurie

Thank goodness. I am not lost. Here is where I need to be.
Thurs: B: eng. muffin w/ marg. 1 T. cottage chs on side.
L: salad consisting of 1T cottage chs, spinach, carrots, grape tomatoes, celery and black olives. lite dressing.
Strawberries with a squirt of whipped crm.
D: bkd sweet potato, morning star farms buffalo wings (meatless) 1.5 servings approx 300 cal. w/ t. of bleu chs. (I seem to be very into bleu chs lately)

Dessert: I ate a Knlondike bar but it was so early like 6:45 so I thought I was ok.

Exercise: 3 mile WATP and crunches

Guess what? my dh purchased a gift cert for me to get part of a massage or some type of service, for no reason. He said that I deserved it, him saying that meant more to me than the gift certificate. Today was a good day.

Choc lover, Hope your day goes better. Eat well to help cope with the stress. It really does help. You might want to be mentally prepared for backlash. If you're not hungry, and don't eat much today - you may be STARVING tomorrow.

Grrlscout,
Yeah, the motor oil coffee requires too much cream. Non fat half/half is yucky.

I use a jigger or shot glass to measure the half/half. I got one at Bed/Bath/Beyond with 1 oz, t., T., and milliliters on it. 1 oz half/half = 40 cals, 3.5 g. fat.

Tea in the pm is good. I prefer that with skim milk.

OMG I looooove Peet's! I think a lot of people do, because whenever it's on sale (which is rare) the shelf is cleaned out.

I'm actually thinking of becoming a Peetnik (info at peets.com) and having it delivered. And yes they make decaf! They always have house decaf, but it's hard to find the French Roast decaf - my fave.

And so funny what're you're going through with the half and half, Denise. I had been pondering this very issue all week.

I noticed I'm going through it like crazy! And when I plug in the numbers in FitDay (which I'm way behind on doing), I'm appalled and the amount of fat and calories.

So I'm trying a few new strategies:

- I'm making my coffee a little weaker. Instead of motor oil color, it'll be sesame oil color.

- Also, using a teaspoon to measure my sugar instead of a tablespoon. Someone had knicked my tsp, but I brought in another yesterday.

- When that sugar runs out, I'm replacing it with Stevia or raw sugar.

- Instead of making 2 cups in the afternoon, make just one. If I want another, have tea (I got some morning thunder) which requires a lot less cream.

I like the idea of measuring the cream. I might have to steal that one!
