I did fairly well at lunch. It was a high calorie lunch, but I kept portions in control and stayed aware. I ended up eating half of pastrami sandwich (saved the rest for part of dh's lunch tomorrow) and a small piece of dd's pizza.
We all shared a small slice of cheesecake. I had 4 bites.
I am feeling good about the meal. It was really good quality and I enjoyed it- I did not stuff.

Friday:
B: Had bowl of raisin bran, milk, other 1/2 pumpkin muffin, cranraspberry juice, tea
S: 1/2 cup of tomato pepper soup, 1/2 serving TLC's
L: Soup, spring roll, garlic tofu, 1/2 my fried rice
S: None
D: Halibut fillets, sweet potato fries, big serving of peas, hot tea
Exercise: 45 min walk this morning before work
Project time: Baby shower prep
Fruits/Veggies: Done
Vitamins: Nope
Accountability: Here I am

Saturday plan:
B: Had bagel bar w/almond butter, strawberry banana smoothie, chai, slice of quick bread before I went to store
S: Probably not, just ate breakfast
L: Frozen entree
S: Shower this afternoon...will try to stick to the fruits/veggies tray I'm taking and a small piece of cake
D: Not sure...will have to see how I feel after the shower...I have a feeling out to dinner due to exhaustion but we'll see
Exercise: Going to try and walk at the mall after the shower

Thanks! I figured it was something like that. I knew there were a few people on the board who said they used the ADA exchange system.

B: Cereal and milk (3s, 1m)
L: going out to new sandwich, soup place-
S: unsure- will be out- maybe lattee
D: 1 c mushroom risotto and steamed broc. (2s, 2v, 1p, 1f)

Need to keep lunch portion in line. I have been on track the past days and want to leave room for me risotto as I love it!

I have earned my mascara reward. I will get it on Monday when I run errands.

It is ADA speak. I use exchanges to work out what I wat in a day.
f= fat or fruit (I think that ft is really fat, but I find don't distinguish.
s= starch
V=veggie
P= protein
m=milk

I'm guessing maybe s is starch and p is protein.


90 day goal: 4 days of cardio, 3 days of strength training each week.

Sandy...I'm intrigued by the parenthetical notations after your food. I was thinking maybe "f" was fat and "v" was veggies but I can't quite figure out the rest! I'm back...good grief...what a wild week. Going to skip reporting Wed. but will fess up about yesterday and today:
Thursday actuals:
B: Bagel bar with almond butter, cranraspberry juice, chai
S: None, late breakfast
L: 2 mahi mahi fish tacos, black beans, chips and salsa, tea
S: Chai, apple
D: Blackened chicken breast with salad, fruit, 1/2 pumpkin muffin, some of the white roll, water
Exercise: Not intentional but shopped almost all day...steps seemed low for all I did though.
Fruits/Veggies: Done
Vitamins: Nope
Project time: Hours of Christmas shopping
Accountability: Here I am

Friday:

S: I'm desperately trying to ignore the donuts 3 steps from my chair...going to try and have a cup of soup

Exercise: 45 min walk this morning before work
Project time: Prepping for baby shower tomorrow...

I did ok today, but ate 1 cup of Carmel corn instead of my afternoon milk tea as I forgot it and was STARVING when I arrived at dd's school. I ate from the snack bin at her school.
Plan, plan, plan. I generally do a good job of it, but rushed out after lunch. All in all, not bad.

Tomorrow's plan:
B: 2 c Kashi Heart to Heart with 1 c skim milk (3s, 1m)
S: 2 c red grapes (2fr)
L: ? I am volunteering and will eat what is offered. Need to PORTION CONTROL
S: ? Will get it at volunteering
D: Leftover pizza from lunch today (2s, 2p, 1f, 2v)

Exercise is limited tomorrow- need to get in 30 minute walk.

I feel that I did not earn my reward and will go for it tomorrow! Still looking for new mascara!

Hi Peg,
In an effort to get back on track and avoid bites from dd's plate, I am posting here for now.
B- 1 c Optimum Slim cereal with 1 c skim milk (2s,1m)
L- Veggie/ww pizza with 2 oz lf cheese (2s, 2p,2v,1f)
S- hot tea with 1 c skim milk (1m)
D- 3 oz grilled chicken breast with salad loaded with roasted veggies and lettuces- no dressing (3v,1f, 3p)

Exercise- walk/run for 30 minutes

My goal for today is not to take even one extra bite from anything! ZERO!
My reward: A new mascara

Tuesday plan:
B: Had lots of fruit and a little apple muffin, cranberry juice, tea
S: Lara bar, tea
L: Romaine with a little dressing and parmesan, a big serving of the tomato/mozzerella salad they served, a pretty big piece of veggie pizza that was really cheese pizza with a few pieces of veggie on it, 1 1/2 bread sticks, a biscotti, tea, water (put back the coke I picked up...big victory)
S: Small brownie
D: Insanely delicious thai stirfry with lots of veggies, white rice, glass of wine
S: Oh, yeah..forgot the pillow chocolate I ate when I got back to the room. I'm really beginning to believe this stuff about eating refined carbs begets eating more refined carbs!
Exercise: Only walked to the meeting because I got a blister and this huge notebook of materials that made the walk back look most unattractive. Did take a short walk to a bookstore after dinner but not really enough exercise. Looks like today is a semi-rest day.
Vitamins: Done
Fruits/Veggies: Done
Project time: Going to do some right now
Accountability: Here I am

Wed. plan:
B: Probably the same as today...will focus again on fruit and just a small pastry
S: They didn't actually have any food at coffee break today so I will try to grab a bar or something at the gift shop
L: Whatever they have...hopefully still plenty of veggies tomorrow...no dessert!!!!!!!
S: The other 1/2 of whatever I picked up for the morning
D: Going to have to get something after the meeting and before my flight. Not sure what but will make sure to at least complete my veggie servings.
S: If there is a Starbucks at the airport, a chai...
Exercise: Walk to and from the meeting I think, airport walking

S: 1/2 frosted donut Roll Eyes
L: Grilled chicken sandwich with pineapple salsa, coleslaw, tea at the airport
S: OJ and pretzel mix thing on the plane, 1/2 of the WARM chocolate chip cookie they gave me at check in...these people are cruel...there's also a whole basket of junk sitting here in my room that's not locked up in the mini bar. Good grief!
D: Was totally craving mexican food when I got here. Went to a great locally owned place and had chips and salsa, a chili relleno and 1/2 of a tamale, some pinto beans and a couple of bites of the rice, smallish margarita. Relished it because I haven't been eating rellenos lately.
Exercise: 45 min walk at mall in morning, airport walking (over 12k steps today! Good thing!)
Project time: No
Vitamins: Will take them now
Fruits/Veggies: Don't think dinner had quite enough to make it to my 3 veggies.
Accountability: Came and told you guys...

Tuesday plan:
B: Continental at the meeting. Will look for whole grain cereal w/milk and some fruit, tea
S: Meeting snacks..yikes...will look for fruit
L: Lunch at meeting...no clue but gotta eat what they provide. Bet it'll be sandwiches or something pretty ok...will try to avoid chips and will only eat 1/2 of any dessert provided
S: I have a Lara bar with me...will try to have that instead of the cookies I'm sure will be offered
D: Restaurant...need to find something veggie rich
Exercise: Walking to and from meeting is supposed to be a couple of miles round trip. Will supplement as needed in the evening tomorrow night.

D: 1 1/2 manicotti, 1 bread stick, fruit salad, piece of pumpkin pie with whipped cream, water
Exercise: 45 min walk done this morning
Project time: I'm exhausted. Just going to try and get myself packed and outta here.
Vitamins: Done
Fruits/Veggies: Nope...dinner was no veggies...unlike my mom.Frowner
Accountability: Here I am

Monday plan:
B: Kashi 7 in the morning, cherries, milk, tea
S: Kiwi
L: Cup of tomato roasted red pepper soup, salad w/cheese, beans, wasa crackers
S: Chai at airport
D: Not sure...restaurant somewhere in Phoenix
Exercise: 45 min walk at mall in morning, airport walking
Project time: Going to take my Christmas planning stuff on plane with me

Exercise: 50 min walk at the mall
Project time: Christmas shopped
Fruits/Veggies: Barely a veggie in sight today. Ooops
Vitamins: Done (I think...vague memory of taking them I think...good grief)
Accountability: Here I am

Saturday plan:
B: Bagel bar with Almond butter, milk, tea, 1/2 banana
S: Whatever they have at the charity walk
L: Salad I should've eaten today
S: Chicken soup and wasa crackers
D: Going to party. I'm going to take veggies w/red pepper dip and I will try to go light on anything too crazy. Wine though for sure.

Project time: Work on 1-3 steps of my Christmas cards in afternoon

D: Am going to try and beg out of the after work thing tomorrow...more bar food and I really don't need it. Think I'll take a piece of fish out of the freezer for tomorrow night and try to have a night at home.
Exercise: 40 min walk at lunch w/buddy
Project time: Also a good reason to come home early...gotta report on my goals tomorrow and I don't think the news is going to be good.

D: Not a clue...have a Longaberger show an hour+ away...will have to grab something when I stop for gas I guess. Subway maybe.
