I did fairly well at lunch. It was a high calorie lunch, but I kept portions in control and stayed aware. I ended up eating half of pastrami sandwich (saved the rest for part of dh's lunch tomorrow) and a small piece of dd's pizza. We all shared a small slice of cheesecake. I had 4 bites. I am feeling good about the meal. It was really good quality and I enjoyed it- I did not stuff.

Saturday plan: B: Had bagel bar w/almond butter, strawberry banana smoothie, chai, slice of quick bread before I went to store S: Probably not, just ate breakfast L: Frozen entree S: Shower this afternoon...will try to stick to the fruits/veggies tray I'm taking and a small piece of cake D: Not sure...will have to see how I feel after the shower...I have a feeling out to dinner due to exhaustion but we'll see Exercise: Going to try and walk at the mall after the shower

Sheri, It is ADA speak. I use exchanges to work out what I wat in a day. f= fat or fruit (I think that ft is really fat, but I find don't distinguish. s= starch V=veggie P= protein m=milk

Sandy...I'm intrigued by the parenthetical notations after your food. I was thinking maybe "f" was fat and "v" was veggies but I can't quite figure out the rest! I'm back...good grief...what a wild week. I did ok today, but ate 1 cup of Carmel corn instead of my afternoon milk tea as I forgot it and was STARVING when I arrived at dd's school. I ate from the snack bin at her school. Plan, plan, plan. I generally do a good job of it, but rushed out after lunch. All in all, not bad.

Hi Peg, In an effort to get back on track and avoid bites from dd's plate, I am posting here for now. B- 1 c Optimum Slim cereal with 1 c skim milk (2s,1m) L- Veggie/ww pizza with 2 oz lf cheese (2s, 2p,2v,1f) S- hot tea with 1 c skim milk (1m) D- 3 oz grilled chicken breast with salad loaded with roasted veggies and lettuces- no dressing (3v,1f, 3p)
Exercise- walk/run for 30 minutes
My goal for today is not to take even one extra bite from anything! ZERO! My reward: A new mascara
Tuesday plan: B: Had lots of fruit and a little apple muffin, cranberry juice, tea S: Lara bar, tea L: Romaine with a little dressing and parmesan, a big serving of the tomato/mozzerella salad they served, a pretty big piece of veggie pizza that was really cheese pizza with a few pieces of veggie on it, 1 1/2 bread sticks, a biscotti, tea, water (put back the coke I picked up...big victory) S: Small brownie D: Insanely delicious thai stirfry with lots of veggies, white rice, glass of wine S: Oh, yeah..forgot the pillow chocolate I ate when I got back to the room. I'm really beginning to believe this stuff about eating refined carbs begets eating more refined carbs! Exercise: Only walked to the meeting because I got a blister and this huge notebook of materials that made the walk back look most unattractive. Did take a short walk to a bookstore after dinner but not really enough exercise. Looks like today is a semi-rest day. Will look for whole grain cereal w/milk and some fruit, tea S: Meeting snacks..yikes...will look for fruit L: Lunch at meeting...no clue but gotta eat what they provide. Bet it'll be sandwiches or something pretty ok...will try to avoid chips and will only eat 1/2 of any dessert provided S: I have a Lara bar with me...will try to have that instead of the cookies I'm sure will be offered D: Restaurant...need to find something veggie rich Exercise: Walking to and from meeting is supposed to be a couple of miles round trip. Will supplement as needed in the evening tomorrow night.
