This will probably be the last time I'm on-line consistently until after my in-laws visit (they leave on Monday).

Thursday so far:
Exercise: 5K run in the most perfect temperature this morning, posterior chain weights and kettle bells, 1 hr treadmill walk with a client. (I'm hoping for a bit more kettlebell work this afternoon but it will depend on how busy the gym is after my client session).
B: ww english muffin with cream cheese
L: ww tortilla 1 T of pb, 1 T of jelly; 2 plum tomatoes; 1 oz of ww pretzels, 1 cup of mixed fruit - berries and pineapple

Plan for the rest of the day is the same as posted:
S: hummus with crackers and 1 chip with salsa (we are trying out a new brand of tortilla chips and I want to try one).
D: salmon, wild rice, asparagus, 1 glass of wine, skinny cow.

Plan for the rest of the weekend:
Friday:
Exercise: My achilles tendons are starting to bothering me so I'm taking an off day from cardio (or I'll just ride the bike), upper body weights
B: pbj on ww at the gym (I have a 7 am client appt so I won't be able to eat before I go).
L: ww tortilla with turkey, hummus and spinach, ww pretzels, 1 cup of fruit or a peach
S: 1 oz of goat cheese and 5 crackers
D: cornish game hen, roasted potatoes, zucchini, 1 glass of wine, ff apple cake

Saturday:

Exercise: run, lower body weights
B: ww crumpets with jam
L: ww tortilla with nf roast beef, spinach, tomatoes, hummus; 1 oz of ww pretzels, fruit
S: hummus and carrots; fruit
D: out at a restaurant - I'm planning on doing a salad to start and ahi tuna for the main dish. I will have dessert though, 1 glass of wine.

Sunday will be more up in the air as we'll be at my parents' house and I don't know what they will be serving but only 1 alcholic drink and heavy on the veggies and fruits.

I can see that being a challenge for me too. I'll have to see how it goes!

dh eats slower than anyone I've ever met. And for years I wolfed my food down...

So it doesn't seem to be that odd to me, to be at the table watching him eat. I've been doing it for years now. Smiler

That is often the case with me unless I've eaten a second snack which of course gets me into calorie trouble some times.

At very best, dh is home at 7 pm for dinner but many nights it is even later. It just seems to be getting harder and harder for me to wait that long.

Part of the dilemma is that we usually only eat together twice/week at best because of his travel schedule and band rehearsals/concerts so I feel more of a sense of obligation to wait for him the nights we are actually home together. This week was worse because he was actual in town ; )

I do that a lot of times. I call at 5:30 and if dh isn't going to be home until 7:00 or later... I go ahead and eat and then just sit and have water or tea with him while he eats.

I usually give Jamie a choice... sometimes he eats early and sometimes he waits.

PS we always eat several meals together as a family on the weekends. Or like last night... dinner was seviche and a papaya salad. I ate the Seviche at 6pm and had the fruit with dh and ds at 7:15.

Wednesday actuals:
Exercise: 30 minutes on the interval course on the stair master at the highest level. Upper body strength workout, core work, kettle bell stuff.

I do soooo much better when I can eat dinner early. I need to think long and hard as to just permanently changing my dinner time and just sitting with dh when he comes home later.

Plan for Thursday:
Exercise: Run first thing in the am, lower body weights and kettle bells
B: ww english muffin with cream cheese
L: ww tortilla with hummus, lettuce, tomato, onion; 1 oz of ww pretzels, a peach
S: hummus with crackers and 1 chip with salsa (we are trying out a new brand of tortilla chips and I want to try one).
D: salmon, wild rice, asparagus, 1 glass of wine, skinny cow.

We have family in town starting tomorrow so it will be more work to stay on plan.

I've never posted a plan before, but I think that it is time:
B: egg, white, 2 corn tortillas, salsa, coffee
L: leftover thai shrimp, steamed bok choy
S: 1/2 cup cottage cheese and 1 cup strawberries
D: Spinach salad with chicken and homemade dressing

Tonight we have our bible talk meeting, and the woman who is hosting always serves dessert and I usually indulge. But I find that it is store-bought, and not usually that good. I don't really enjoy the actual eating of it because I am looking after my kids. So I am going to pass tonight.

Kathy

I never posted the plan for Wednesday!
Exercise: I had wanted to go for a run this morning now that the weather has cooled off but dh had to leave super early to go visit a customer and it was still raining : ( We'll be heading to the gym soon where I'll get in my cardio there - probably on the stair master as I haven't done that in a long time plus an upper body strength workout, core work, kettle bell stuff.
B: whole wheat english muffin with cream cheese
L: large salad with loads of veggies w/beet dressing (on the side), fruit
S: fruit and 1 cup of kashi
D: sushi, 1 skinny cow, 1 glass of wine after band rehearsal

...the rest of Tuesday:
s-yogurt w/raspberries, blueberries and go-lean crunch
d-Trader Joe's chicken stir fry w/rice w/extra green beans from farmers market, blueberries
s-skinny cow

exercise: bike dd to swim practice and then a lap around the park and back home again. Bike ds to swim lesson and then back home. Bike dd to friends house etc... (When I walk at the park I barely notice the slight inclines, but on my bike I feel like such a wimp. I was really struggling - later I realized that my tires were low so that was part of it.)

Good for you, Bee, for making such a healthy choice for a snack. After a workout like that you definitely need to have something.
I think that I caught your salt craving you had a few days back. I can't seem to get enough of those pretzels. (Actually I've had more than enough!!)

I snacked. I had a pretty intense workout this afternoon plus I spent an hour on the field which was like a sauna today. I really, truly, needed to eat as I started feeling light headed.

My choice: 1 roma tomato, 6 baby carrots, 1/2 c of raw broccoli and 1 T of hummus.

I was pleased that I made a healthy choice instead of reaching for the pretzels or chocolate covered cookies that have been calling me : )

I'm feeling substantially full enough that I will make it to dinner at 7 pm.

Yikes, the rest of yesterday was terrible. Dh was gone and the kids went to a friends house for dinner. Instead of fixing myself something healthy I ate junk. Way too many pretzels, ff carmel corn, the rest of the blueberry pancakes. Last night when the power went out the neighbors gathered out on a driveway and had drinks. So I had a bottle of some kind of cooler. Exercise: None

Today so far:
b-oatmeal, blueberries
s-multi grain pretzel nuggets
l-out. BLT club, a couple spoonfuls of dd's chili and 2 or 3 fries. I can't believe I ate the entire club and I could have kept going!
