How about we each do something tomorrow that is new or that we haven't done for a while that helps your healthy lifestyle? If you'd like to share your plan &/or report how it went here, I bet we'd all enjoy hearing about it. You might have an idea we haven't thought of!

Thanks for the natural diuretic ideas-never knew about parsley!

A Thursday win: Had to take the bus again today which meant extra walking for me-woohoo. Walked a few blocks to bus stop and then several more to get to my office. I am seriously thinking about using the bus more often to get places.

Tea makes me pee like a horse. LOL Especially hot tea for some reason over iced tea. I have borderline hypertension and have a huge tendency to hold on to fluids, and I always notice that within 2 hours after I drink hot tea, I have to keep going to the bathroom.

I did something VERY new, and very unplanned today that benefited me. Dd had an early dismissal from school, I left work to pick her up and stopped at home to eat lunch. Went out-car won't start. Called the bus station, inquired about bus schedule and pick-up/drop-off areas. Walked 4 blocks to the closest bus stop, waited in the darn rain for 1/2 hour, got on, rode into the city and then walked from bus terminal about 5 blocks to my office. So, I got some unplanned exercise(in heels, even if they were low) and had a new experience! I have not ridden a city bus since I was about 6 y.o. I also have a new appreciation for those who do not have the convenience of a car. Another reason I need to go buy a bike!

Water, water, water.

I also avoid salt and processed stuff when I am bloated.

Fruit seems to help me too.

Good job Susan!

Glad to hear it is not more serious Brie. Take yourself and her back to bed. You need your rest!

Done. Feels good. Helped a lot that I actually slept through the night last night. First time in a while.

Brie, I hope DD feels better soon and you can get some rest, too.

My dd has strep. First dose of antibiotics is on board and hopefully she'll be feeling better soon.

Her symptoms were not her usual for strep so I'm relieved that's what it is and not something worse.

jill, parsley is a natural way to lose the bloat from water retention. i eat it during my TOM.

i also get bloated from whole wheat, so i switched to sprouted grain, quinoa and spelt.

Brie-I hope your little one feels better soon and that you get some rest.

I am going to the gym. I have not been there for a looooong time. Going tonight.

I also need to drink more water. It is hot outside, and being that time of the month I am retaining water like crazy. Any suggestions for a natural diuretic?

I've been up since 2:30 am with a sick child. After we get back from the pediatrician I'm planning on sleeping - something I never do during the day.

I'm going to get up early to exercise! With my "new" (since October) SAHM flexible schedule, I've been staying in bed later and working out later in the day than I used to. But surprisingly, I miss that energy rush I feel when the early morning cardio is over.
