I love that show also, and I have to say that the heavier (not what I would say are overweight, but the women are definitely size 12-16 or so) folks (both women and men) definitely outnumber the skinny-minnies. There have been a lot of women on that show over the past 2 years that are shaped like I am, and they give some GREAT tips!
Blessings,
Lori

Bee, tell you what? If you don't tell neither will I. I will nominate you and you nomintate me, and we'll meet in NYC and go shopping. I hear they have a contest going for the people who have been on the show already. $50,000 shopping spree. Can you imagine? Be still my beating heart. I am sick and tired of wearing "mommy" clothes Jeans, sweats, etc. I want something that looks like a woman, and hasn't been worn by three people before me. Ah, to dream! Cathy

I love WNTW also and I have seen some shows that work with folks with recent large weight losses and that is always interesting to watch. I find myself so much in "look at meeee" when I shop lately that I'm probably doing ok but I can see how some would get stuck in the 'hide in my clothes' phenom. Peg

There is another show I have discovered while waiting late night hours for my DS; "What not to wear"....I have yet to see a larger person featured in their programs either. The premise for those who haven't seen it is that they "ambush" a person who has been nominated by friends and relatives for a makeover in the clothing/hair/make-up areas. They have this person bring their entire wardrobe to NYC for a makeover...they show you what looks great on you, give you $5000 to go shopping for a new wardrobe, give you a hair and makeup make over----facial makeover for the guys. They all turnout great...but the last two women chosen were size 0....I didn't even know they made clothes that small! The men were gorgeous, but none of them were larger either. I wrote TLC network and asked about it...I'll let you know what happens .... if anything! Cathy

There was a show here yesterday afternoon with a guy with diabetes who was overweight - maybe 50-60 lbs. I think. He worked at a desk all day and they gave him some good, easy chair exercises. I didn't see the whole show, but every exercise I saw was at the beginning level. I wish one of the trainers was a woman... Over than that... I like the show.

I love this show but have noticed the same thing - I've never seen an episode with someone I would consider over weight.
