EGullet (a food-lovers website) hosts a different "food blog" each week from members. And this week, it's me.
If my posting here is erratic, it's because for the next 7 days, I have to document (in photos and/or words) for EVERYTHING I eat. . .talk about being accountable!
This won't be a perfectly "on" week as far as eating goes, and I'm willing to accept that. The blog is a chance to show off what I love, what I love to make, and what I love to do. I won't go overboard, and my portions at non-fun meals will be pretty restrictive, but again, it's a price I'm willing to pay.
I'm like you, Cate. . .posting & detailing everything makes me nervous. . .I'm afraid I'll forget something, or have an imperfect day, and in my mind, if that imperfect day is posted & held up to the world, chances are good I'll just crawl in a hole and give myself the "why bother?" speech.
So I'm better when I just mentally plan, and allow myself to deviate when necessary

I just went to the site. I love the photos. Your writing is great; you give lots of detail that makes me want to know more about the Cuban restaurant, the smoker, food shops and more. Thanks for sharing!
