I have been snapping pix of fall leaves a lot on my walks over the past few weeks...and I'm so glad I did because when I went for my walk yesterday, all the beautiful leaves I'd snapped were gone--trees were bare already. Wow. So I thought I'd share a few of my favorite fall leaves snaps:

When you're viewing the picture you want to link to on Flickr, click the link on the lower right side of the screen that says something like "see different sizes." Once you're on THAT screen, scroll down below the picture and you will see two links (I have tried both here on KD's board, but only the second (shorter) link works for me). Copy the shorter link and then here, in your KD board post, use the IMG button in the post-a-reply window and paste the link you copied into the window for the link. It will add the image coding for you and boom, you see a picture instead of the coding/link.

That is one of my faves...there is something sorta different about it--it's darker around the edges, but there is this area in the middle where you can see the sun shining through.
Since I joined Flickr, and have looked at so much amazing photography from such incredibly talented people, I see things differently. I found that I don't want to just take a picture of a tree anymore...with the cars, house, wires, phone pole, etc. in the shot...so I started to walk up under the trees sometimes and look for interesting plays of light and shadow.

We haven't had leaves in a long time! We actually woke up to snow this morning.
This is how things looked a month and a half ago in my neck of the woods. This is the little lake in our development. The picture with the ducks is our view from the back corner of our yard.
Out of our beliefs are born deeds; out of our deeds we form habits; out of our habits grows our character; and on our character we build our destiny.

Wow. I've never lived anywhere that it does that every year! (They don't "change" here until around January, and two weeks later, it's green again)
Those are really beautiful. Would it be a problem if I took one for a screensaver? If you'd rather I didn't, that's fine, too. Photos mean different things to different people
Challenge Goals: *10 minutes of unplanned exercise five times a week *Gym time twice a week *Socialize at least once every two weeks.
Sheri, What beautiful pictures!! Thanks so much for sharing them. Our leaves are pretty much gone here from the wind and rain last week so it is nice to see these pictures.
