Dena got the Wii Fit Plus for Christmas this year and it just told me that I burned 192 calories during 2 seperate 30 minute sessions today.
Of course, that figure could be just about a accurate as the pedometer that told me my right foot walked twice as far as my left foot Wink

We got the Wii Fit Plus and the Wii Sports Resort. When I logged on with my old Mii and did the Body Test, it said, "Well HI! It's been 465 days since last time!...Uh-oh...Looks like you didn't quite reach your goal from last time... Want to set a new goal?" Two days later, the reaction was, "Wow! You lost 3 lbs since last time! Way to go!" That was the difference between doing an after-dinner Body Test and morning-in-pj's-after-bathroom test...

I did get a huge giggle out of the calorie pig. After every exercise/game, I had burned...drum roll...2-4 calories. But that must have been on Sports Resort, which is more about fun than exercise.

She also got the Jillian Michael 2010 Ultimatium workout and the EA Sports Active but I haven't used either of those (she has). She was hoping for the Biggest Loser workout also but no one got her that one.

You can put your pets on the Wii Fit Plus Big Grin so Luke and Leia have their own little mii's Wink. With them on there you can use the balance board to weigh them.

Also, with the Plus you can set up your own routine and then it takes you thru each exercise without you having to go back to the menu and choose the next one. And it has a favorites button that shows what you have "played" the most and it even shows the games from the original Wii Fit so I can continue to do those without having to change disks.

I have the EA Sports Active program for the Wii. It doesn't require the balance board, which is good, since I don't have one. I'm going to have to fiddle with it a little more to see if I can take the difficulty level up. The first few workouts it has treated me like a beginner. But by no means have I exhausted all the workout options. It also includes a Bob Greene 30-Day Challenge.

The new Wii fitness package looks even better than Wii Fit...a lot more cardio. I think it is called Wii Active? But if you searched on Amazon, I'm sure you'd find it. The TV ad I saw for it included boxing and some workout related to The Biggest Loser.
