I didn't see the Larry King show on living longer. After reading BrenauMom's account of her recovery/remission via stem cells, I thought I would post about the possible promising results treating type1 diabetics using their own stem cells to cure diabetes for type1 diabetics.

It's a miracle and a possible cure for many people who are suffering from type I diabetes. I know a child that was in one of the test studies and he is doing marvelously...no more shots! No more testing 10 times a day! He still gets tested every other day to see what his Blood sugars are..and that they are maintaining, but that is more for the study than his health. What a thing to rejoice about! Stems cells can the answer to many things, and in my opinion, we need to support this kind of research rather than inpune those who are doing it and using it. Stems cells have proven to cure some immune system cancers, my landlady is an example. They don't have to be harvested from aborted fetus, they can be obtained for miscarried babies, from the umbilical cord of delivered babies, from your own cells, as in my landlady's case. But I will get off my soap box now, and just give thanks for those who kept looking, when others were jeering. And for a God that gave us the brains and talent to find answers he gave us.
It's never too late to get it right.
