Saturday: Turbo Jam Ab Jam (20 mins.)


Personal Healthy Habits Challenge - 10/1 to 12/31/08:
1. Exercise: Get back to consistently working out 3-5 X week.
2. Food: Get back to consistently preparing healthy lunches for the week with increased veg servings.
3. Behavior: Reduce intake of sweets.

Friday: Power Half-Hour Ab Blast (20-25 of 30 mins.)

I had come home from work early yesterday afternoon still feeling miserable and took an allergy pill. This morning, even though I had an unusually sound night of sleep (maybe due to the allergy pill? LOL), I felt SO out of it. I knew I couldn't do any jumping around and wasn't sure I could even do anything standing up. So I picked this "extra" DVD that comes with the Turbo Jam set but isn't itself Turbo Jam. I thought it would be all on the floor but it's not...it's a LOT of jumping around (one of the weirdest workouts I've ever seen)...so I did some of the standing stuff and most of the mat stuff but my heart definitely wasn't in it, which is why I'm not giving myself credit for doing the whole 30 mins.

Thursday: Off

Woke up with a monstrous headache at 5 a.m. and could barely make it to the bathroom to get aspirin before falling back into bed, so decided this would be a good time for an off day. Thankfully, I had already exercised every day this week so don't have to feel guilty about taking a day off.

Tuesday 30th...
40mins on Treadmill with a little incline..

The first 10 mins kill me everytime..Once I passed that I am fine..Hopefully this will get easier.

Tuesday: 4.30 miles walking in the local park reserve.

The air was alive with the sounds of all manner of birds, the wind was rustling tree leaves and fields of brush, there was the occasional pheasant call - and an Ipod Zombie walking down the trail missed all of it.
