Ive on day 3 as well. I've exercised twice this week, done crunches everyday so far, gotten my 2 seving of veggies anddrank my water. So far so good.

Ive set aside 15 minutes before bed each night to write down everything, set up the next days food plan, work on homeowrk. DH stays away during this time... smart cookie.

Its already helping, I never realized how hungry I am when I get home from work until I wrote it all down. So I'll need to start bringing more snacks to work. So today I picked up some carrots and lemon hummous, and I felt much better when I got home.

I've also started a blog on myspace.com to try to keep up my motivation. If i miss a day posting there, me neice said she'll call me on it.

I wrote out my homeowrk last night and came up with 5 food habits to change.

Instead of tabbing a current lowfat cookbook, I ordered a Graham Kerr cookbook from Amazon, that should be here next week or so.

I've set aside a great workout outfit.

I made a batch of my mock chai creamer and have been enjoying as a treat all week.

I've even set up 2 different rewards, one if I do well this week and one if i do awsome this week.

I started writing things in the daybook yesterday. I signed onto FitDay again to go along with the daybook and the National Body Challenge. I also broke out the pedometer again so I can log my miles. The National Body Challenge ends close to the middle of March and our Workout Across North America will be starting back up again about that time.

Hi,

I thought I was the only thinking man not alot of room especially if you write the snacks and what you drink. Glad to see I wasn't the only one thinking I really need to cut down to fit it all but like susanrows said guess I can shorthand it. Wink

I am on day 3 of the daybook. I re-joined my gym and yet, this time around of "watching my weight" I am completely unmotivated. I am so tired of weighing in, counting pts. or calories, eating rabbit food, and exercising. Last year I lost 30lbs. I felt great and had lots of energy. Then my boss was diagnosed with cancer (her third time) and with additional work and worries I stopped eating right and exercising. I have gained back 20lbs. The only motivating factor for me now is that I don't want all my hard work to go to waste. I liked how I felt and at 44yrs old I want to be healthy. How can I get excited again? My daybook has helped some but... help! Diana

OK, I love my Daybook, I really, really do. But is anyone else having trouble fitting all you eat into the space for "What I Ate?" I'm getting really good at shorthand and abbreviations. I guess there's also that little mental nag that says, you'll have to write it down and you don't have room! Then I'll have to think whether I have "room" in my calorie count, too. And I end up not eating whatever it was. Hmmm....

Hi everyone!!

I am back...its been a rough couple months. Sorry I dropped off the face of the planet or so it seems. Life has gotten very hectic and complicated.

I am very excited about starting using the day planner. I ordered it through work and it came in last week. Unfortunately, I haven't had a chance to do anything with it. I'm going to start working through it tonight.

Looking forward to working through the day planner with you all.

The peanut butter treats look similar to a recipe I got in a kids' magazine wayyy back in the seventies. I am looking forward to making them because I love peanut butter.

I started the "go through a healthy cookbook and tab everything that sounds interesting" last night with Jesse. We each took one of KD's cookbooks and we were tabbing a lot of recipes. I tend to stick to things that sound "safe" instead of getting adventurous a lot of the time.

I'm going home to grill some mahi mahi for lunch today instead of ordering Chinese with everyone else. Smiler

I was excited to see I lost a little in KW and am starting out this challenge at 170.5 -- I hope to see the 160s soon and gradually work my way back to goal (155). This time I want to STAY there. Smiler

Hi!

I made the pb treats once before. They are good and yes I needed to add extra honey to get them to stick. I also peaked ahead and made the Squash soup which is yummy and very filling. Having it for lunch today as I type. Smiler

I"m on Day 3. It's hard to get back on track, but I'm making progress. Has anyone made the Peanut Butter Treats? I made them last night - they are pretty good. Maybe a little dry, next time I'll try it with a little more honey. Just a word of advice, when shaping them into balls, be VERY gentle, they smoosh easily!
