Hope that everyone had a nice holiday and I'll apologize in advance that I won't be able to go back over everything I missed while I was gone.
The beginning of our trip to Florida was GREAT. My MIL, while very very thin and fraile, still looked amazingly well after all she's been through. It was so nice and comforting to be together. We were able to really spend some great quality time together and treasure the moments.
Unfortunately things took a dramatic turn in the wee hours of Christmas morning when I became extremely ill. I spent the rest of the trip in bed, exchanging calls with my doctor in OH and trying to decided if I needed to be hospitalized.
I had to use a wheelchair to get through the airports as I was just too weak to walk. We went straigh to the doctor's office from the airport and if I'm lucky, I'll be out of commission for another week at home. If things take even a minor shift backwards, I'll be in the hospital.
So, I'll be around a lot in the next week : )
PS Needless to say, I'm back into maintenance range.

Been thinking about you.
Still very weak and basically couch bound but no signs of any recurrence so that's great news.
I managed to get breakfast for myself and dd this morning so that's an improvement.
My goal for the day is to actually make dinner tonight for the family. My dh in the kitchen is a bit of a disaster so I'm anxious for a real home cooked meal. ; )

Wow, Bee!! I am so sorry that you were so very sick!!! I am glad that you are at home and recovering! Wish I could bring you over a cup of tea! I hope you are back to normal soon!
Hey, I just have a quick question: do you live near Cincinnatti?? Have you ever heard of the Cyclones junior hockey team? A friend of ours is playing on that league this year.

So much better being sick at home than on a trip. But that sounds serious. You take care of yourself and take the time it takes to get better. I know this thing can reoccur without notice, so it's nothing to play with.
But, glad to hear your mil is doing well....

I have a recurrance of a form a toxic shock. It game totally out of nowhere and it's been years and years since I've dealt with this so it's been quite scary.
Basically within the course of a couple of hours I went from feeling perfectly fine to having a high temp, a horrible rash and not being able to move (plus some other symptoms that would fall under the category of TMI),
Thankfully I was able to immediately get antibiotics on board and managed to stay out of the hospital.
I'll have 10 more days of antibiotic treatment ahead of and the peeling of the rash which is disgusting over the next two weeks but then hopefully it will be gone after that and life will go back to normal.

Bee here is hope for a good recovery. We missed ya. Keep us updated on your progress.

Good to see you're home safely and had a good visit with your MIL, but very sorry to hear that you have been so ill. I know that you will take good care of yourself because it sounds like you are hoping to avoid having to go into the hospital and I can quite understand that!
Hugs and best wishes for a speedy recovery. Sheri
