The definition of "try" is to attempt to do or accomplish; to make an attempt or effort; strive:
Just for fun, I want you to try to pick up a truck. Of course you can't do it, unless you are a much stronger person than most. You can strain, you can grunt, you can put your hands on the truck, but you can't just TRY.
How much of our work on being healthy, eating healthy, exercising, thinking healthy etc is trying? Attempting, striving? Do you ever say, "I am going to TRY to get to the gym this week";
or "I am going to try to eat five fruits and vegetables today" Trying doesn't get it done.
Try is not an action verb. Trying is just starting, in order to get the job done, we have to DO IT or NOT.
It's that simple, but oh so very hard. So what one thing have you been "trying" to do; that you would be willing to make that commitment to DO or NOT DO. Decide. Chose one thing, just one, not a bookful and then DO IT.
Share you DO's; DONES, with us.
It's never too late to get it right.
