I followed through on being good yesterday. My long run's done, and I ate a little yogurt so I didn't go to bed starving, but nothing else. I'm down again this AM.

Tonight should be somewhat of a challenge, since I'm making some easter candy and I love the peanut butter filling that I'm using for some of it. I don't think I'll eat much though, since I'll eat dinner first. I also have a bunch of bread to bake for a family get together tomorrow, so I'll be way too busy to fall prey to the snack monster out of boredom.

Yesterday sucked in terms of eating. Two unplanned foods late in the day - one salty, one sweet.

I did get in three workouts though- one was planned, the other two I added. My last workout was at 9 pm while watching a movie.

I'm exhausted this morning which is a trigger for me for being off plan so I'll need to be more vigilant today.

I got in THREE longer dog walks yesterday with Missy...it was a beautiful sunny day, though windy. My weight yesterday and today was the lowest my weight has been in at least a month. Having just come from 4 days of constant restaurant meals, that feels pretty good!

I've been eating too many sweets this week, though, so I need to work more on that again.

Day 4, going well. I've got a long run (13 miles) planned for later this evening, and have two really big homework projects done or nearly done.

Now I just need to avoid the snack monster the next two nights, keep my daytime calories on track through the weekend, and I might be in great shape for next week seeing some real down numbers. I'm still up 1.5 from last week's chip binge.

Yesterday was OK. We were out for all our meals and I shared mostly everything and did pretty well. Definitely still ate more calories than at home but scale is still the same and I tacked on more time on my workout this morning.

I will also get in an extra walk this afternoon before my dd's sleep over.

Good plan for the next few days that I will stick too.

Helps that I have a fridge stock full of wonderful veggies and fruits. I was soooo looking forward to my lunch salad today.

I'm not going to walk today. I'm really tired and really sore. I think 5 straight days of walking might have been too high of a goal for starting back into an exercise routine after not having done anything for so long.

I may go swimming later if time permits. I am doing a lot of cleaning around the house today though.

I scheduled a massage for this afternoon, so hopefully that will help with some of the soreness.

Oh, and I think I did well with dinner last night. I ended up not having fish, but had a salad and my friend and I shared "fire roasted vegetable pasta." (I don't think the veggies were fire roasted, but they tasted good.)

I am not sure if others experience this, but I generally have "delayed scale reaction" when it comes to gaining and losing real fat. (The water weight comes and goes more quickly for me.) I often see the scale drop after a week of eating super clean.

The downside to this phenomenon for me is that I have fooled myself many times- thinking that I did not gain weight the day or two after overeating, when, in fact, 3-6 days later I might see a gain.

Well, this am the scale was back to normal and I know why: dinner with friends last night. Phew.

Plans for Easter: good food in slight moderation and light exercise in extreme moderation.Smiler Back to normal eating as of Tuesday.

Great job Dawn! I too have knee problems when I walk/run but it seems if I gradually increase exercise and don't overdo it, I'm ok.

Good job Sandy. I went out for lunch and I'm going out for dinner too. I had a lunch size chicken fajitas and did not eat all of it, and I'm planning to eat fish and a salad for dinner. I also am reminding myself that I'm going for the socializing and not the food. It is a little bit of a celebration though, so I might have a glass of wine as my treat.

I walked again today. I did a total of 3 miles. I increased the warm up and cool down a bit and kept the "work out" part at 2 miles. I did a 1/2 mile warm up and then cool down.

I'm so out of shape. I'm really tired and sore. I know I have to keep it up though. Going to schedule a massage as incentive.

I'm having a 3rd good day in a row so far. But I'm headed into the first of three tough days fighting the snack monster. I still haven't relost the 2 # I gained from last Friday's incident, despite my best efforts.

Dawn,
2 miles is significant. It's about 200 calories worth of exercise. Doing that just 4 times a week means losing almost 1 pound per month- 10+ pounds in a year. (I hope my math is correct.)

Hope your knee adjusts and feels better. I'm glad to see you posting!

I have no specific goal(s) right now. I am trying to find the spiritual side of myself that I lost somewhere along the way.

100% on plan today with food and exercise. I white knuckled it from about 4 until dinner but stayed on plan : )
