The definition of "try" is to attempt to do or accomplish; to make an attempt or effort; strive:

Just for fun, I want you to try to pick up a truck. Of course you can't do it, unless you are a much stronger person than most. You can strain, you can grunt, you can put your hands on the truck, but you can't just TRY.

How much of our work on being healthy, eating healthy, exercising, thinking healthy etc is trying? Attempting, striving? Do you ever say, "I am going to TRY to get to the gym this week";
or "I am going to try to eat five fruits and vegetables today" Trying doesn't get it done.
Try is not an action verb. Trying is just starting, in order to get the job done, we have to DO IT or NOT.

It's that simple, but oh so very hard. So what one thing have you been "trying" to do; that you would be willing to make that commitment to DO or NOT DO. Decide. Chose one thing, just one, not a bookful and then DO IT.

Share you DO's; DONES, with us.

My son has been really into the Star Wars movies lately. When he says he's "trying," I quote Yoda: Do or do not. There is no try. He hates that, but on some level, he knows I'm right.

I think it's easier to say "I'm going to try to...whatever." Then it feels less like failing when you don't get it done, because you can tell yourself at least you tried.

I do exercise almost every day. I do eat fruits and/or vegetables with almost every meal and snack.

I DO exercise 4 days a week and most times 6 days a week. I did not used to do that. I started in July last year.

I DO think about what I eat, not just comsume whatever food is around just because it is there.

1. do 4 laps on walking track without "resting"
2. do 1 mile (17laps) in 20 minutes (3miles per hour)
