I spent the weekend in NY at my 20th high school reunion. It was better than I ever could have imagined!
Over 200 people were there, 80% of I knew and remembered and at least 50% I was actually friends with ; )
As a group, I think we all aged really well. There were some exceptions of course but everyone pretty much looked the same, just with a wrinkle or two. Men changed more I thought. Some had really grown up into men during their college years and while others lost hair or grew facial hair.
The best compliment I got was that I looked the same as I graduated high school thin. It was very nice to be able to go back now as opposed to 6 or more years ago when I looked nothing like I did then.
The flip side is that I didn't get more than a couple of hours of sleep, I picked up a cold/sore throat and I didn't eat very healthy at all so it's back to the grind today of good self care both nutritionally and rest wise.
If anyone is on the fence about going back for a reunion, I whole heartedly recommend it!
Out of our beliefs are born deeds; out of our deeds we form habits; out of our habits grows our character; and on our character we build our destiny.
