I haven't been here for 3 weeks. Boy can I tell a difference in my eating habits when I have no one to be accountable to. Of course being pregnant my eating habits have changed quite a bit anyway. Well, the weight gain is still very slow and steady. I am at the end of my 6th month. So far I've put on 14 pounds and the baby is progressing about a week ahead of schedule. Almost everything looks good. Last week I failed my 2nd glucose test by 5 points. (I'm not sure what that means) Tomorrow I go for the 3 hour glucose test. I go in fasting and then have my blood drawn 4 times. I sure hope I haven't developed gestational diabetes. I know people get this all the time, but with my PCOS its a little more involved. Please pray that I pass my test. My doctor said that most of the time, this test is passed and only 11% of patients fail. That sounds good but I can't help but worry. I'll post how I did tomorrow when I get home from the doctor.

Smiler Hi Stephanie, I hope your test went well. I am keeping you in my prayers. Around my last trimester with all my kids, I started playing my CD's and putting the headphones on my tummy. My favorite song was El Shaddai by Amy Grant. Now the baby will have a big growth spurt and I believe can even see light in the womb. I read once that if you were to hold a flashlight to your tummy, the baby can see the light. These are very special days for you!!

Good luck on your test tomorrow. Keep us posted.

You sound really happy and healthy (despite this little blood sugar blip).

I think of you every time I post on the Week #something Challenge thread!

Stephanie,
Best of luck tomorrow with your test. Be sure to let the tech know if you start feeling light headed from the fasting. I ended up having to lay down on a cot for the last two hours of mine.

Try not to worry too much about the test results. I had insulin dependent gestational diabetes with my daughter. It wasn't fun but we got through it without any complications and being on the diabetic diet did wonders for my weight gain.

Keep us posted!
