Thanks Sheri,

I will look for those.

Rest of Summer Goals:
1. Exercise-Cardio: Min. 2-3 walking or DVD cardio workouts per week.
2. Exercise-Weights/Toning: Min. 1 weight plus 1 toning workout per week.
3. Food: Get those veggie servings back up to where they were!
4. Behavior: Start reducing sweets now that the automatic after-meal response is better.

I'm at work right now but I will try to remember to post later when I'm at home. It was a familiar brand but just a new line of veggies they had introduced...the name of the line is something like "Simply Steamed."

We got it at Whole Foods but I think Trader Joe's carries it also.

Serving size 1 oz (about 1/4 of the bag)
Calories 130 (calories from fat 45 so that is 34%)
0 trans fat
0 cholesterol
150mg sodium
18 g carbs
1g fiber
0 sugar
1g protein

Ingredients: corn meal, rice, rice and/or sunflower oil, aged cheddar cheese (no fat milk, salt, cheese cultures, enzymes), whey and low fat buttermilk.

Other than the sodium it seems to be a fairly decent snack if you can limit yourself to one serving Wink.

I absolutely ADORE the Veggie Booty! A dear friend introduced it to me several years ago and it is one of my favorite treats, but it is much harder for me to find than Pirates BBooty

I usually don't like frozen veggies but, then again, there are many times when I don't eat enough veggies on the weeknights or weekends because I don't have fresh veggies around to cook.

These are all just plain steamed veggies without butter or sauce. However, the one mixture (potatoes, red peppers and something) does say it comes seasoned. Looking forward to trying them. Will report back when I do.

OK, definitely sounds like it's worth looking a little harder for Dr. Praeger's pancakes! Thanks, guys.

And Judy, I'm so with you on the Pirate Booty! DS loves it, so if we ever have any in the house, I don't dare polish it off because I'd be in big trouble. It is really addictive.

If they're worth the effort, I'll try harder to find a store that carries them.

I have tried the spinach, broccoli and they are great! They are a little oilier (sp?) than I expected, but it is a healthy oil vs. a transfat or something you'd get in a less health concious product.

i am a big consumer of the Dr Praeger's pancakes. i love the spinach, sweet potato and broccoli, and the tex mex. i do not like the california burger. i have not tried the Indian burger. north carolina carries them at earthfare and harris teeter.

for breakfast, i will go an eggbeater scramble and throw in a spinach pancake and wow, is it ever tastey! another thing i do is toast a slice of bread, spread some ff cream chz and then place a broccoli or spinach pancake on top. that is also pretty yummy!

I have two products that I have discovered relatively recently that I really, really like.

The first is McCain's sweet potato fries. We bake them in the oven. I think they are really delicious and need no accompaniment. If I had regular fries, I'd have to have catsup or at least some salt on them.

The second product may not be anything to people in larger towns than I live in. Kraft has started producing a block of parmesan cheese in a container which allows grating on to the food. I don't like it because it is, therefore, a one use container; but, I do like the aspect of being able to have freshly grated parmesan cheese.

That would be worth the drive. Their customer service is so good. Even if you don't like something you can take it back. I bought some bad chicken there...of course threw it away- and when i went back in they said...'grab a new one." Plus they always 'card' me when i'm buying '2 buck chuck' there (I'm 40) so it's a boost in my self esteemSmiler and just bunches and bunches of health options...and they address food allergies...and and and...
