Tonight for dinner we had a California Pizza Kitchen pizza. It was the Marguerita one which is diced tomatoes, olive oil, basil, and mozzarella. It is a very thin crust and it is really good. You can buy them frozen and I think there are several other varieties-I think there is a bbq chicken one, and I can't remember the others. There is a California Pizza Kitchen restaurant in King of Prussia, which is not too far away but I have to say this frozen pizza was pretty darn good. And, a third of the pizza is only 290 calories, which is three slices. Pretty satisfying and great flavor.

Our market just started carrying the Stonyfield Farm, fat free, smooth and creamy flavored yogurts in 4oz size. I absolutely love them for my snack. My favorite so far is the blackberry.

Hostess is now making 100 calorie snacks and we tried the carrot cake and "ding dong" like ones this weekend. They are really good for a sweet treat!!! If on Weight Watchers they are 2 points for 1 serving.

They aren't the "healthiest" choice I know, but for something different they are funSmiler

Kat

Goal:
Exercise at least 3 times per week.

Remember the positives.

Get the munchies under control!

You can purchase liquid smoke at the grocery store, it's where they keep the BBQ sauce..

I just tried a Lightlife Smart Tortilla Wrap, Mexican Style. it is a vegetarian, mostly organic burrito. It is made with Lightlife Smart Ground. It was very good, a bit on the spicy side for my kids (they all tried a bite of it to see if they liked it) but very filling.

This isn't food related but a new "reward" type product...

A neighbor brought me a bottle of Philosophy "ice cream man" bubble bath and shower gel as a hostess gift and I finally got around to using it this weekend.

It was by far the BEST bubble bath I've ever used. Just a drop produced a huge amount of bubbles that lasted forever and my skin felt hydrated instead of dry and flaky after the long soak.

I saw something on FN about how they do this but don't remember exactly. It may have been on Good Eats (if it is I have it on tape) but I'm not sure. I will look into it and get back to you.

I also like to use the Mrs. Dash stuff on my salmon before I poach it and sometimes I just put it in the poaching water.

A couple weekends ago Bob and I tried an Ugli Fruit. They are a tangelo (according to the Web site).

Here's a picture

they were pretty good although a bit on the expensive side.

Mrs Dash 10-Minute Marinades. The Teriyaki has high-fructose corn syrup and the Garlic-Lime has corn syrup. The rest, however, aren't too far removed from marinade recipes (the big ingredients, anyway. Where does this "natural smoke flavor" come from, anyway?). Salt-free, and sugar isn't very high on the list, meaning they won't scorch the instant they hit the grill. We got the Mesquite Grille (I'm a sucker for coupons), and it's far better than any nationally available barbecue sauce, to my taste buds. Not as good as OUR barbecue sauce, though. And that's right where I prefer a store-bought product to be Smiler

Also, Under Armour Sports Bras. I'm a D cup, and wearing these, I don't have a uni-boob or feel like too much sausage in too little casing. Super comfortable.

Challenge Goals:

David Rio Sugar Free CHAI Orca Spice Chai

no trans fat, no hydrogenated oils

65 calories per serving*
Total Fat 4 g
Saturated fat 3 g
Trans fat 0 g (where did the other gram go?)

Cholesterol 0 g

Sodium 30 mg

Potassium 90 mg

Total Carbohydrate 5 g

Protein 1 g

The ingredients list does have some things that may not be appreciated, but the print gets too small for me to focus (maltodextrin????)

A friend bought me a packet of this for Christmas. I was hooked! (I don't abuse it). It is the best tasting Chai mix I have ever had. Darn close to what the barrista serves. To me it's perfect for THIS Ohio weather.

My friend bought it in a small shop in a small town 30 minutes from here. I was thrilled to find to find World Market carries it. There are different varieties - some with sugar. The 11.9 oz container cost $5.99.

I figure it's better for me than the hot chocolate I used to drink. I will accept counseling about my use of this product. Smiler

I found something new (to me) today--Smart Ones Missippi Mud Pie. The thing I love about it is that it is a mixture of flavors that I LOVE plus it is two small servings in a box so it's not something that I can go too far afield with.

I thought the flavor was outstanding for a "diet" product. It is the type of thing that tastes satisfying to me and it doesn't taste like I am giving up anything at all! The serving size is good--a little cup you can eat right out of.

I don't feel like dragging the box out of the freezer at the moment to post the nutrition information, but I will when I eat the second serving and the box is ready to go in the trash.

I like the Clif bars too, but the Lara Bars have way better ingredients- all nuts and dried fruit.

I love the Lara bars! I can't get them at Publix. I have to go to Kroger or Trader Joe's or Whole Foods to get them.

I especially like the Cashew Cookie because I love cashews and with my teeth like they are I can't chew nuts any more. I also like the Apple Pie. There are just sooooo many flavors Big Grin .

Sandy, I TOTALLY agree with you on the Lara bars.

I do want to add if you are craving things like apple and pecan pie they do the trick for that too. I LOVE them!

We had the "Simply Steam" southwestern corn with fish the other night. It was good...though a little salty to my taste. The boyfriend (who complains about salty taste more than I do) didn't have any issues. He liked it. It has corn, bell peppers, and (I think) green chiles (though not many) in the bag, along with seasonings. It was good with the chile-seasoned fish and baked tortilla crisps.

It's very, very pretty and colorful. I'd buy it again, if it's on sale.
